We had a verymild winter for the past two years and weeds have gone dormant, but notdied. As such, please make sure you are doing everything you can to bea good neighbor and keep your weeds under control.Here is what VOWS CC&R’s have to sayabout Yard Maintenance:5.3.3 Yard Maintenance. Each owner/resident, at their own expense,must maintain the yards on his lot with an appearance that is commensuratewith the existing standards of the neighborhood.Specifically, each owner must:a. Maintain an attractive ground cover of grass or sod on all yard visiblefrom a street. Xeriscape or ground cover other than grass or sod shall bepermitted with prior ACC approval.b. Maintain a minimum of one(1) tree in the front yard.c. Maintain in good working condition all lawn irrigation systems.d. Edge the street curbs, sidewalks and driveways at regular intervals.e. Mow the lawns and grounds at regular intervals.f. Prevent lawn weeds or grass from exceeding 6 inches in height.g. Not plant vegetable gardens that are visible from a street.5.2.8 Rear Yard Maintenance. The Owners and occupants of any Lotsat the intersections of streets or adjacent to parks, playground or otherfacilities, and any other Lots, where the rear yard is visible to publicview must maintain the rear yard so as not to be unsightly when viewedfrom the street, adjacent parks, playgrounds, neighboring Lots, or otherfacilities. Woodland Springs Homeowner’s AssociationThe purpose of a homeowners association (HOA) is to maintain, enhance and protect thecommon areas and interests of the subdivision or neighborhood. Individual homeowners,as members of the association, pay periodic assessments support & utilize neighborhoodamenities (pond, pools, parks, tennis courts, etc.). The assessments pay for community expensessuch as entrance monuments, landscaping, amenities like clubhouses, tennis courts,or walking trails, insurance for commonly-owned structures and areas, an on-site managementcompany, or any other item delineated in the governing documents or agreed to by thehomeowners’ association.Currently, the Advisory Committee, which is comprised of elected residents, is the intermediategroup between the residents and the Board of Directors and Centurion American(VOWS developer). This will continue until full development of VOWS is completed. Thesub-committees report to the Advisory Committee.
