Faculty Package:JASP1090 and any two courses fromANTH1020, CHLL1900, CURE1000, 1110, ENGE1000,FAAS1900, HIST1000, LING1000, MUSC1000, PHIL1110,THEO1000, TRAN1000Units92. Required Courses:(a) JASP1010, 1050, 1470, 1480, 2470, 2480, 4601, 4602 28(b) Students are required to participate in one academic <strong>year</strong> (notless than eight calendar months) of resident study [a] in Japanand complete Japanese language and Japanese studies courseswith prior approval from the Department of Japanese Studiesbe<strong>for</strong>e graduation. With the approval from the Department,students can apply to take the existing local study scheme ifthey have strong justifications or when resident study in Japanis not possible due to unpredictable circumstances such asrestrictions on travel due to epidemic outbreaks or limitationsof exchange places. Units obtained from Japanese universitieswill be recognized as up to 20 Major units. Academic resultsobtained from Japanese universities will not be included in thecalculation of the Major GPA. Students who are unable toobtain required units in Japanese universities may complete theremaining units after their return to this University.203. Elective Courses: 12Students may choose to specialize in one of the followingstreams or not to specialize in any stream. Students choosinga stream must take 12 units of elective courses specified below.Students are encouraged to declare their stream choice as soonas possible but not later than the summer be<strong>for</strong>e their <strong>year</strong> ofgraduation.(with stream)
