• Direction of EMS to scene:o Open appropriate gates near field, make sure pathways are cleared tofieldo Designate individual to “flag down” and direct EMS to the sceneo Scene control: limit scene to first-aid providers and move bystandersaway from the area (UTD coach, UTD police, administrator on-sitecan assist in this)VENUE DIRECTIONS:• Venue is located south of parking lot J. On map below, venue is located atK7.• From West Campbell Road (preferred entrance to field)o Enter campus at the gravel road off of West Campbell Road (see mapbelow).o Continue down road to gravel parking lot. Turn right into parking lot,and EMS will enter the field through the right field gate (southwestcorner of field).• From West Campbell Road into main campuso Enter campus at University Parkway, and continue down to the circledrive.o Follow the circle drive around, and use access road off of it to gotowards parking lot J.o Prior to entering parking lot J, there is an access drive on the left thatruns along the west side of the softball/baseball fields that EMS mayuse to get down to the field.VENUE CONCERNS:• Note times of practice and competition compared to operating hours of theUTD Activity Building (AB) for landline use.• Communication is very importance due to the inability of the AthleticTraining Staff to cover all practices.• If the medical emergency is going to require the ambulance to physicallydrive onto the field, it must enter via the preferred entrance as stated above.
