IntroductionThe Odense River Basin is a pilot area and test <strong>study</strong> for implementation of the WFD. The <strong>basin</strong>comprises an area of approx. 1 046 km2 with about 246 000 inhabitants. The town Odense is thelargest population centre in the <strong>basin</strong> area.3
