For the last two the collaborationagreement anticipates that RWE will own 51% while PPC Renewables – a wholly owned PPC’ssubsidiary- will own 49%.e) Appeal against the European Commission’s decision regarding lignite extraction rights: OnMay 13, <strong>2008</strong>, PPC filed an appeal before the Court of First Instance of the EuropeanCommunities, against the European Commission’s Decision of May 5, <strong>2008</strong> regarding granting,by the Hellenic Republic, of lignite extraction rights.f) Initiatives by PPC relative to the modification of power generating licences by “Alouminion ofGreece”: PPC on May 13, <strong>2008</strong>, decided to undertake initiatives (not excluding legal actions)concerning : a) the monitoring and the effective treatment of potential developments which cancause significant contortions to electricity’s wholesale market and negative results for PPC due tothe manner of operation of the co - generation station and the purchases of electricity by PPCfrom the “Alouminion of Greece” and b) the questioning of compatibility of those stipulations, bywhich, obligations associated with a supplier of last resort are imposed on PPC, in relation toarticle 3, para. 3 of Directive 2003/54/EC, especially concerning customers with a versatilealternative choice of supply.g) Hiring of consultant: The Parent Company has hired a consultant, in order to prepare a studyconcerning the structure of High Voltage invoices as well as assistance through negotiations withhigh voltage customers.h) Supply and installation of a 750-835 MW power plant at Megalopoli: In April <strong>2008</strong>, the ParentCompany has announced a tender for the supply and installation of a 750-835MW power plant inMegalopoli, for which the deadline for submitting offers expires in July <strong>2008</strong>.i) Adjustments of PPC’s organizational structure to the European environment: In the periodended <strong>31</strong>.03.<strong>2008</strong>, the study for the selection of Group PPC’s organizational structure in order toadjust to the European environment was completed. From April <strong>2008</strong> a study concerning theadjustment of the selected structure to the Greek legal framework is in process.j) PPC Telecommunications’ share capital decrease: In April <strong>2008</strong>, PPC Telecommunications hasdecided to decrease its share capital by Euro 62,173 with an equal return to the Parent Company.23
