FIBRAN COLEX collagen casing is a ready-to-use ediblecasing designed for small and medium caliber products.COLEXMade for chistorras, chorizos, fuets, longanizas and all typesof cured sausages.Colex casing calibers range from caliber 20 to caliber 50, bothin straight and curved formats.The curved Colex casing is ideal for use in a host of applicationsfor traditional curved sausages.INSTRUCTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USEGeneral• READY-TO-USE collagen casing requiring neither pre-treatment nor soaking.• Care must be taken with the filling direction. Introduce the rounded part of the stick into the stuffing tube.• Work surfaces (tables and filling tubes) that come into contact with the casing should always be clean and dry.• Do not overfill. COLEX collagen casing only accepts nominal caliber.• It may be clipped, tied or twisted.Storage• Store the boxes of casings in a dry, cool place (10 - 15º C and 60 - 75% RH) and avoid direct exposure to sunlight.• Prevent sticks from drying outside the box. It is very important to maintain casing humidity.• Once the box is opened, it should be finished. Otherwise, seal it hermetically in the original pack and keep it inthe refrigeration chamber.• Protect COLEX casing from impact and objects that may cut and/or perforate it.
