c) Cryptocephaline leaf beetles (Cadmus litigiosus, Aporocera apicalis & Aporocera melanocephala) These chrysomelid beetles (Cryptocephalinae) colonised plantations of E. globulus from native Eucalyptus species. d) Autumn gum moth (Mnesampela privata) Although this species spread quickly into plantations in Green Triangle, severe damage tended to be restricted to patches within plantations (usually with stressed trees) rather than widespread. Eggs are generally laid on juvenile foliage low in the crown but the larvae gradually defoliate the crown and then neighbouring trees.
