But when <strong>the</strong> poor lady replied that allher efforts were bent toward <strong>the</strong> destruction <strong>of</strong> Bhlshma<strong>the</strong> spirit <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ganges rebuked her severely, and toldher <strong>the</strong> terrible consequences <strong>of</strong> vows <strong>of</strong> hatred. Yet still<strong>the</strong> Princess Amba did not desist.
