• The Port of Oakland was open for business today. Some ILWU port workers did not showup for work and therefore, cargo movements were slower than normal throughout the day.o Labor gangs were ordered out this eveningJ but most of the container terminals closeddue to anticipated street closures caused by Occupy protesters.* There are Coast Guard personnel assigned to and embedded in the Port of Oakland'sEmergency Operations Center 24/7 to assist the Port and liaison with the Coast GuardJ and tomonitor the security situation.o Coast Guard personnel will remain on station until the Port fully reopens.* Sector San Francisco has a ready 87' coastal patrol boat underway in San Francisco Bay,and several multi-mission small boat stations ready to respond if needed. Air Station SanFrancisco has a B-0 aircraft ready to respond as well.* Coast Guard Sector San FranciscoJ District 11, and Pacific Area who are all located inthe Bay AreaJ will continue to monitor Occupy protests throughout the evening and respond asneeded.2
