Thespotlight must also fall on Mr Tom Brown (Grade 7) for histhorough planning and co-ordinating of this educationalexperience. He has ensured that the learners have linkedtheir efforts to the subject (EMS) so that learning has takenplace. Thank you to all our learners and families for yourpositive response and interest shown in the planning andsetting up of the stalls on the day. 2013 Entrepreneurs’ Dayhas been a most valuable and enjoyable learning experience.SPEECH & DRAMA FESTIVALIt has really warmed my heart to note the active participationof each Senior Primary class in presenting their class choralverse and individual items. The JP section has always held aSpeech & Drama week for all classes and this has now beenextended through into the SP phase as well. This means thatour entire main school will be enriched with the benefits ofSpeech & Drama on an annual basis so that the learners inthe various grades can participate, excel and become moreactively involved. I highlight the individual efforts of our coordinatorsof the SP Speech & Drama - Mrs Knott, the SP staffand the learners - in this initial year of presentation. Pleasediscuss this programme with your child as support for his/her involvement this week. Invite your child to present his/her item to the family at home. I am sure that you too willsuitably impressed. Thank you, Mrs Knott, the adjudicator, and all partners for focusing on this learning experience.AMASHOVACongratulations to all the Northlands “family” members whoparticipated in the above-mentioned race held last weekend.I am aware that parents and learners have been traininghard for this endurance event but I do also acknowledgethe talents and spirit of our staff members, namely Mrs Lock,Miss Wilmans, Miss C and Mr Rust, who kept our “ProudlyNorthlands” banner flying high as they participated andfinished their respective distances.
