Systemperformance monitoring samples were collected from the Demolition Area 1 study area.<strong>Co</strong>mpleted profile sampling at J-1 Range Northern at location DW-7 <strong>and</strong> began profile sampling atDemolition Area 1 at location 7W.<strong>Co</strong>mpleted mechanical screening <strong>and</strong> Pneumatic Separation Unit (PSU) lead separation of stockpiledsoils at Former D Range. Performed X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) screening at Former D Rangeprocessing area.<strong>Co</strong>ntinued inspection of oversized material from Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) demonstrationactivities <strong>and</strong> initiated robotic soil screening of soil removed from the Southern excavation Lift 2 at theCIA.MMR IAGWSP Tech Update Meeting Minutes 11 August 2011Demolition Area 1An update was provided on the ongoing Demolition Area 1 investigation. Drilling in the community isongoing. The next location to be drilled is 7W. A site visit was completed for locations west of LilyPond. Drilling at these locations will begin once the record of environmental consideration iscompleted which is anticipated in a few weeks. IAGWSP will send an updated figure with the locations.Gun <strong>and</strong> Mortar PositionsIAGWSP <strong>and</strong> MassDEP have been reviewing final language in the Gun <strong>and</strong> Mortar PositionsInvestigation Report. MassDEP will review the language so that the report can be finalized. IAGWSP isworking on the Decision Document.CIAIAGWSP will send out the draft decision document early next week. EPA will provide comments on thein-situ alkaline hydrolysis project note next week. IAGWSP will send an email proposing to backfill thenorthern excavation area with treated soil.J-1 RangeIAGWSP provided a figure showing the current drilling locations for J-1 northern plume. Groundwaterprofile data is being collected from location DW-7. A figure was also provided which shows threepotential locations for the J-1 southern extraction well. Based on modeling, it looks like Alternative 4Aat the corner of Gr<strong>and</strong> Oak Road <strong>and</strong> Pleasantwood Drive is the best location. More information will beprovided at the next tech meeting.
