Pilgrim’s GuidePilgrims will be directed to sites of catechesis nearest to their place of lodging. Catechesiswill be hosted from Wednesday-Friday, July 24th-26th in the mornings. In each of theselocations breakfast will be available to the participants/pilgrims (with your credential).3. FESTIVAL OF YOUTHThe “Festival of Youth” will take place in several different locations throughout Río, betweenMonday and Friday, July 22 nd – 26 th , outside of the time dedicated to the catechesis(some mornings/ afternoons/ evenings). It is composed of a variety of events that lookto provide a testimony of the artistic, cultural, and overall religious and spiritual of youthfrom all over the world, a true “witness of faith.” Following these criteria, the Festival ofYouth may include moments of prayer, skits, vigils, concerts, recitals, theatrical performances,and even moments of presentation from different bishops conferences, ecclesialmovements, lay communities, associations and religious congregations.4. VOCATIONAL FAIRThe Vocational Fair is an event inside the official activities of World Youth Day that hasthe primary objective of questioning each youth along the lines of the interrogative– What is God´s Plan for your Life?, allowing them each to ask what God expects fromtheir lives. There will be over 130 expositions, 150 stands, 50 confessionals, a stage forshows and presentations, booths where talks will be given and a special tent where therewill be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. There will also be a type of “food court” setup here so that groups can come and spend their afternoons there with convenience.The Vocational Fair will run during the day from Tuesday-Thursday, July 23rd – 26th. TheSodalit Family will host a booth at the Vocational Fair, come by and meet with CLM membersfrom all over the world!5. CONFESSIONALSAnother important activity during the WYD is the service of confessions. About 200 confessionalswill be prepared to attend for pilgrims, distributed in certain city points, suchas the vocational Fair.24
