Kelly, Sean O'Byrne,Knd Miss 0 I Ryan.andThe <strong>County</strong> Secretary, Assistant Secretary,/<strong>County</strong> Surveyorwere in attendance.The Minutes of last meeting were confirmed.PAYMENTSTreasurer's Advice Notes for £5289. 19. 9d were examinedand signed.GOVERNMENT EVACUATION SCHEMEThe following under date 18th June <strong>1942</strong> (ARP.1930) was readfrom Department of Defence, A •• P. Branch, 24 Upper OIConnell St.,Dublin:-"With reference to this Department's letter of the 16th Aprillast in regard to the arrangements for the storage of mat~essesand blankets in Co. <strong>Wexford</strong> in connection with the GovernmentEvacuation Scheme, I am directed by the Parliamentary Secretary tothe Minister for Defence to state that the shop and dwellinghouseat 51, Upper Main St., Gorey, the property of William Flusk of 50Sydney Avenue, BlaCkrock, Dublin, have now been acquired by thmsDepartment.I am accordingly to request you to inform this Departmentwhether Mr. Treanor, Assistant Surveyor, the officer appointed incnarge of the arrangements at this centre, is satisfied as to thesuitability of the premises.Arrangements should be made for thenecessary caretaking of the premises to provide that the enclosedinstructions are fully complied with.In view of the situationof the prem1ses, it would appear sufficient to appoint a caretakeron a part-time basis only, if it is not found possible to add theseduties to an employee of your Council resident in Gorey.arrangements involving expenditure must receive the prior approvalof this Department.© WEXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL ARCHIVESAny
