As healthcare staff, yourviews are very valuable to the CQC. This survey measures staff awareness,knowledge, and opinion <strong>of</strong> how the CQC regulates and inspects.Your responses will give them important information on how the they mightimprove how they work and communicate with frontline health staff, so pleasetake ten minutes to complete this important survey, and make sure yourpr<strong>of</strong>ession’s voice is heard and can make a difference. This survey does make a difference and changes havealready been implemented following last year’s feedback.The survey should take no more than ten minutes to complete and is open throughout <strong>November</strong> to give asmany staff as possible the chance to share their views and experience. The survey can be accessed by clickinghere. So if you are a frontline member <strong>of</strong> staff, please take the time to complete the survey.A new managed service for booking all agency staff is comingAs part <strong>of</strong> our plan to deliver better patient care, we are changing the way weprovide temporary non-medical agency staff across the Trust.From the end <strong>of</strong> January 2014, HB Retinue, a company who specialise in providingagency staff in healthcare settings, and currently provide our medical agencylocums, will introduce phase two <strong>of</strong> the project, looking at the booking <strong>of</strong> nonmedicalagency staff. The change will enable us to move to a paperless systemwhere you will be able to book temporary agency non-medical staff and approve their timesheets via aweb-based tool. The key changes, include:• A single provider for booking all temporary agency staff• Web based booking and approval system, which will streamline telephone bookings and emails• Paper timesheets will be replaced by electronic timesheets which can be approved onlineThese changes do not affect bank staff. Bookings for bank staff should continue to be made in the usual way,in line with the relevant divisional authorisation procedures.
