We have now stepped into 2 nd theme of ‘Placeand Time’ where children are in the 1 st phase of ‘tuning-in’*. During the first week, thechildren have started revealing their inquisitive nature by interacting with teachers. Theinquiry sessions will be followed with in depth articulation of the Inquiry Units. Students were veryexcited to present their 5 essential skills of PYP to all theaudience.School AssembliesIn order to continue developing thelearning environment andatmosphere at our school, this yearwe have started Whole School(student-teacher) Assemblies. Duringthe assembly time, we can focus on aLearner Profile, since these areattributes we all hope to strengthenin ourselves. The first Assembly wasconducted by PYP3 on Friday, Sept27th. With a focus upon the LearnerProfile attribute of “Communicator”.Coffee morning @PYPThe school cherished the presence of Parents of PYP students, as they attended the CoffeeMorning with great zeal. The warmness was alsofelt in inquisitiveness of IB Methodologiespresented by the school. The parents whilepracticing the IB learner profiles transformedtheir mindset like children. I am the new swedish teacher, workingfor Loraine with the Swedish B in MYP1-5. And Oscar and me arethe swedish teachers in PYP.I live here in Älmhult since 1,5 year ago with my family. I have 3kids. We come from Västerås, a city close to Stockholm. But beforewe came to Älmhult we lived a year in Dublin, Ireland.Since I came to Älmhult, I have worked on Ryfors and Montessorischool.
