Public Education Committee ReportMay:• The response form for the AKC Meet the Breeds, New York, NY wassubmitted.• A volunteer team of 5 BCOA members with their dogs plan to participateat this year’s event on Nov. 19-20, 2011.June:• At the request of the Basenji Club of America (BCOA) president, PamelaGeoffroy, information about AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Days andMeet the Breeds-Eukanuba, Florida was sent electronically to all BCOAaffiliated clubs.
Public Education Committee ReportIn the future:• Planning for the Meet the Breeds, NY 2011 will continue• BCOA business cards & handouts will be given to those wanting to knowmore about basenjis• Basenji University coloring books and crayons for children will beavailable• Costs will include: Parking, travel, food & lodging for volunteers• Expense report will be submitted to the BCOA board following this event• A full write up of the event including pictures will be submitted to theBCOA board within 30 days
