A panel ofPUI veterans will lead a discussion focused on thebalance between teaching <strong>and</strong> research, best practicesfor research with undergraduate students, how to writesuccessful grant proposals, <strong>and</strong> issues surroundingpublications including the idea of the Least PublishableUnit (LPU), recommended journals to target, <strong>and</strong>personal experiences with various journals, their editorialboards, reviewers, etc.4
