He walked out ofthe house and to the ambulance.He w<strong>as</strong> a lot morecalm than I would havebeen if I’d been bitten by <strong>as</strong>nake.”After getting bit in theleg, Curry tried to grab thesnake and w<strong>as</strong> struck againin the hand.Clayton said officerssearched all over the propertybut never found a snake.Curry w<strong>as</strong> transported byhelicopter from Jacksboro to<strong>Wise</strong> Regional Health Systemin Decatur. Photos takenat the hospital showedthe are<strong>as</strong> around the bitesswollen and discolored. Hesoon walked out of the hospitalon his own accord.The snake bites occurredjust two weeks after he’d reportedlyfallen off a bridgein <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong>.On the afternoon of Thursday,Feb. 14, Curry called911 on his cell phone andreported that he’d fallen offthe bridge on U.S. 380 crossingBig Sandy Creek. Hetold emergency respondershe’d fallen approximately15 feet onto the shallow,rocky creek bed below. Medicsfound him lying on theground on his back, complainingof back pain andnumbness in his legs. Hereceived a helicopter flightto a Fort Worth hospitaland w<strong>as</strong> soon rele<strong>as</strong>ed.That w<strong>as</strong> the second timeBOYDthe board approved purch<strong>as</strong>ingiPad minis for allteachers. OnJan. 20, Curry called 911 onhis cell phone to report thathe’d fallen off a cliff about 8feet high in a wooded areaon the south shore of LakeWorth.Fort Worth police andfirefighters found him lyingon his back. He told policehe’d been walking his dogwhen he lost his footing andfell off the ledge.
