These words were spoken by aclub member referring to a local sportsbike club. This clubis a one ride club rather than a one make club. As far as I knowit does not offer formal meetings, a magazine, service days orsocial events; just hard and fast rides. The ride team has receivedcomments that the club rides are too fast, too slow and on roadstoo twisty. Some riders like gravel some will not ride on it underany circumstances. In other words it is not possible to offer ridesthat suit all members all of the time. The answer is of course toput on more and varied rides, but for that we need ride leaders. We are aware that apart from the Monday CRL rides few aretargeted at the classic bikes. So if you have an idea for any sortof ride contact the club captain or Mid week ride coordinator. We have had a member put up his hand as a possible regionalcoordinator for the Gippsland area. If all goes according to planwe will be running a ride with a lunch stop in the area, where allGippsland members interested in a monthly get together andride can meet and discuss their needs. So keep an eye on the webcalendar and make the effort to attend. If you are interested in aGippsland group based somewhere in the Leongatha area contactthe Vice Captain by email so we have some idea of numbers. It has been gratifying to see the HART day at Broadford, organised by the president, as being over subscribed. No doubtthe club discount has played a part, so don’t forget the discountalso applies to recognised First Aid courses and that subsidisedfirst-aid kits are available from the club. If you contact the ViceCaptain he will try and get one to the ride briefing if you areparticipating on a ride and can’t get to the Monday meetings.Remember, if you want to know what is going onride wise refer to the website, Due to the long leadtime, BeeEm’s calendar cannot always be up to date.”Don’t be late!A note for your diary. From Feburary 2013, generalclub meetings will begin at 7.30pm.So, set an alarm if you have to,adjust your clock, enter a reminder,do whatever it takes to be thereat 7.30 for the March meeting– may the force be with you!
