The Band Division offers students several musical experiences throughour multiple concert bands, the popular 350-member Marching Illini, our basketball bands, theOrange & Blues Pep Band, and Summer Band, which begins its 104th season this next June. At theforefront of band music education for over a century, the University of Illinois produced the firstcollege band program, setting standards for concert performance and marching band drill design,and producing prominent performers and music educators throughout the world.
