CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013006THE POTENTIAL & SIGNIFWRITTEN BY: Tom Bunzel EMAIL: tbunzel@earthlink.net BLOG: lifeisintelligent.wordpress.comWhen I began my journey into computing seriously, Iexperimented with a very early 2D animation program fromAutodesk called Animator Pro. It was an early animationprogram for the IBM PC, and it exported a series of twodimensionalimages as a “flick” in its own file format at ascreen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Shortly thereafter, the output expanded to 640 x 480, which enabled me to“print” to video that would display full screen from a VCR.On a flat computer screen this enabled me to move anobject across a background over time, simulating motion. In a blog post I described how this was done over aseries of “frames” with “key frames” defining the beginningand end of a path. The amazing thing is that underneath it all—thesoftware was just zeroes and ones – mathematics. Youcould simply change the script or the code and every aspectof the “scene” or “movie” was altered – the speed, direction, shape, height, width, color and even lighting and position ofthe “characters” or other components of the scene. It wasmy first foray into a “virtual world” and when I “made” myfirst bird glide across the screen, I was thrilled.Autodesk made another product called 3D Studiowhich is now 3D Studio Max, which was used in high end3D production and commercials. I ended up writing aboutit and learned just enough to know that it would take yearsto master, but I understood enough of the basics to write areview. The additional dimension of 3D Studio was the “Z”axis – which went “into” the monitor, adding depth to the Xand Y axes of width and height on a computer screen.Almost like the key moments (“Nows”) of Life, on a computer screen “keyframes” can be used to place objects that can then move in space and timewith software calculating the “in between” frames into smooth motionpaths (tweens) between the key frames.Z-Axis is a third virtual dimension from “behind” the designer“into” the scene or object.Visit the Collective Evolution website to see how 3D Printing helped adisabled duck get a new footGO TO WWW.COLLECTIVE-EVOLUTION.COMAND TYPE ‘PRINTING’ IN THE SEARCH BAR

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013007ICANCE OF3D PRINTINGIt was up to the mind and imagination to be able to“conceive” in this 3D space, and thereby construct wireframeobjects that could then be colored, shaded and moved. The “program” 3D Studio Max assigns a numerical value to properties, methods and aspects of an object or scene to determine how it will be“rendered.” (Note right panel).I eventually learned to move the “camera” so that Isaw the same object from different “positions” “inside”the scene, but the complexity of 3D Studio Max was a bitbeyond me—I had never solved Rubik’s Cube. My mind didnot “compute” in 3D space and time. Most important however, once again, EVERYTHINGwas reducible to zeroes and ones – mathematics – and thesurface material that could be “applied” to the wireframeobjects was also (virtually) part of the program or script. In3D this virtual world was even more “real.”(Along with special effects, like explosions,Programmers also created and sold “materials” that couldbe applied to wireframes in addition to the ones that camewith the program, along with their properties, such aselasticity, density and strength.)When I worked with Animator Pro, my concept wasthat I would use video as my “printer” – so that the output ofmy “movies” (primitive though they were) could be output tovideotape and play in a VCR, and potentially even be cablecommercials for clients who would otherwise need to hireactors and use a production studio to create “real videos.”The issue was the size of the images and the speedof the processor that could display them on screen (renderthem) at a video rate of 30 or even 15 frames per second.Today these processors are powerful to render such imageson your table or cell phone with photorealistic depth. In theearly 90’s rendering my simple 2D images, which were muchsmaller in bytes (file size=number of digits) was a problemuntil Intel made more powerful relatively inexpensive chips.3D Studio, for example, created 3D files that neededpowerful workstations to render and play its movies –until Intel made more powerful processors that replacedcompanies like Silicon Graphics. It is interesting to considerthe processing power in your brain that is currently rendering“reality.”In my case everything was being created on a 386 PCwith DOS and Windows – which was very hard to masterand very crude. In fact my productions were rejected bysome local TV and cable stations as “not broadcast quality”and my claim to fame was a five minute looping video thatplayed at the L.A. Convention Center as an information loopfor a trade show.I did videos for local stores and businesses usingnothing more than the objects in Animator Pro and capturedimages from a video camera and later a scanner, addingtext, background and graphics, and creating “motion” usingkey frames. At the time it was pretty advanced stuff for thePC.But now, in 2013, along comes 3D Printing.Instead of outputting to videotape, technology hasadvanced so that the contents of 3D Studio – and similar 3Dprograms, can not only be “rendered” on screen, but outputto “printers” that produce the “products” in the “real world”using actual materials (not print to paper, but print in plastic, metal, and potentially in human tissue.Actual products are now “created” in this way (andof course the big market edge is the mass productionpotential at low cost from one “mold” or model that residesin a computer). These new products include hearing aidsmolded to the specs of a human ear taken by examination, similarly dental implants and fillings, prototypes for plasticand other models, and even a gun that shoots real bullets.CONTINUES ON THE NEXT PAGE...

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 201308Stages of a wire frame being “rendered” with shading, light, and surface materials on screen. Potentially thiscould also be output in the material desired in a 3D printer. So literally whatever the mind can imagine and renderin software can be output in the real world – manifested. The computer and printer have replaced the factory andassembly line.Currently there are three public companies on thestock exchange profiting from the hype around thistechnology, along with Autodesk, which still makes someof the software. The companies are 3D Systems, ExOneand Stratasys. I believe that ExOne is actually “printing” inmetals. Another company, symbol ONVO, is working oncreating organs using human tissue – company name isOrganovo.Of course another company messing around withnature using the zeroes and ones of biology is Monsanto, but that’s another story. The “magic” of 3D printing is that everything thatis “created” on the computer screen is from a designer’simagination. The manifestation into material object (form)is achieved only after consciousness has “thought of it” andconverted the idea into a format that software (mathematics– zeroes and ones) can “understand.”At that point a “printer” – something which works inthe world of form or physical objects -- literally manifeststhat idea in a material (chemical composition) with which itcan render such an object and suddenly it is created “in itsimage.”

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 201309Of course Wall Street is calculating the importance ofthese achievements in only one area – money.Examined from a deeper perspective, this incredible“human” achievement points to levels of mind andconsciousness in dramatic new ways.Again, when we consider that DNA is a program that“renders” our bodily biological functions from a code thatcan be sequenced as zeroes and ones, then obviously wetoo are a product of MIND or consciousness.3D printing truly begs the question of what is real andwhat is virtual. If there is a physical device that now canconvert ANYTHING that can be conceived in consciousnessin a physical FORM, crude as the initial materials may be(as were my “videos” in 2D in the early 90’s), what is theMEANING of reality from this perspective? In one sense, everything is “virtual,” as suggested inthe movie the Matrix, because everything is the product of aMind (somewhere?) that is not “ours” or personal. If anything that “we” can conceive can now be manifest(and of course we are part of nature,) what does that suggestas to how “nature operates”?Since humans, with their limited sensory capacity, have inferred just a few of the laws of nature, imagine whatcould be “rendered” if we had “better tools.”Might we not ultimately conceive of a mind rendering(manifesting) other conscious organic living entities onthe scale of planets and stars, galaxies and black holes, and whatever might comprise the mysterious dark matterand energy that forms the majority of the known physicaluniverse?Whether we use the building blocks of words, theletters A, C, T and G, or the numbers zero and one, as thebasis for “software” (DNA or Microsoft Word, respectively)what these symbols represent is Reality as Mind orConsciousness, manifesting consciously in physical form.Microsoft Word can “print” this document. DNA caninstruct the unfolding of a plant or a human.Life is intelligent and consciousness is prior to form.Biocentrism in the new relativity.Tom Bunzel is a speaker & nonfiction writer in high tech, & a consultant& technology coach in the fields of digital video, multimedia, presentations & social media. CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013014TRANSITIONING INTO AHEALTHIER LIFEI always like saying that life is like a buffet ofinformation and it’s up to us to pick and choose whatresonates with us most. There’s so much informationout there and it can be quite confusing at times and canlead to frustration or suffering if we feel we can’t find theanswers we’re looking for. There are loads of people andorganizations claiming that they have the best diet for us,the answers we’ve been looking for and what works bestfor our body and lifestyle. But with so much conflictinginformation, how can we truly know what works best forus? In my journey, I’ve tried a number of different ways ofeating and I tend to be very athletic. I’ve brought myself toa space where eating mostly raw, being Vegan and beingvery active feels best for me. I sleep well and don’t sleepa lot, I always have a lot of energy, my immune system istop notch and I’m generally in a great, peaceful mood themajority of the time. However, it took me some time to getwhere I’m at now. I started off as a meat & potatoes lovingkind of guy, growing up in a household with a Cypriotfather & a Canadian born, UK descended mother. Bothof these cultures rely heavily on eating large portions ofmeat, dairy & heavy vegetables (and overcooking them.)The complete opposite of my current diet! After going through the motions of life and doing alot of inner work which transformed me in a positive way,I developed a relationship with my mind and body thatallowed me to feel what works best for me, where I wasat and wanted to be. When I was 24 I eventually becameVegetarian before going Vegan, with some relapses ofsmall portions of meat eating in between.Along the path of becoming a Vegan, I came acrossvarious obstacles for which I’m very grateful that I hadexperienced. These obstacles I’m sure many can relate toand I’m thankful for them because it allows me to relateto and assist others following the same path. Here aresome of the major challenges you may face and how toget through them.1. Allowing what others think or say affect youractions or choicesIn the world we live in, many choose to live amundane lifestyle of routine. For these people, it’s perfectfor what they wish to experience, but it can lead them tojudge others when it comes to stepping outside of theboxes that they have put themselves in. If your friends, family or even co-workers don’t agree with or understandyour lifestyle choices, it may lead them to judge you, steer you in a different direction or try to put you down.Understand that their actions are based on their ownstories and boxes they’ve created for themselves anddetach from what they think or say. If you are triggeredby any of this, observe yourself and get to the root of thetrigger. When you see the root cause, you can let it goand detach. You will always know what resonates withyou most, and if it means being a little bit different, go forit! It’s also an opportunity to show others that change ispossible and they may be curious about the benefits andresults of the changes you are making.2. Feeling confusion with so muchconflicting informationThere is a lot of information out there when it comesto living a healthy lifestyle. As children of the Westernworld, we’re brought up being taught that we need toconsume “the four food groups” to be healthy. There area number of various diets and ways of living said to bemost beneficial to us and so this can lead to confusion.Remember that there is no right or wrong way to doanything, it’s just simply what we choose to experience.A great way to get through this is to understand thatwe all have an internal guidance system that allows usto feel out what works best for us. It’s an innate intuitionthat lets us feel if things resonate with us or not. Have youever had a thought about something or done somethingLOOKING FOR A NEW WEBSITE TO ADD TO YOUR BOOKMARKS BAR?For more information, CHECK OUT:WWW.HIGHEXISTENCE.COM

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013015STYLEonly to eventually change that thought or situation due toa feeling and realization that it wasn’t right for you? Thisis your intuition and your internal guidance at work. Now,it’s very important to distinguish this inner guidancefrom fear and stories in our minds that aren’t this truth.Intuition is simply a solid, core knowing that we feel inour hearts. It carries no doubt, no emotion and is alwaysclear, peaceful and neutral. It’s our natural state of beingwhen we’re in the flow and present within each moment. It is very easy for us to get caught in the stories of ourminds and allow emotional engagement to drive us orconfuse us. When we’re not listening to our intuition andlistening to the other voice, it will come from a place offear, emotion and judgement. It can seem louder andchaotic. It will never be neutral about an experience andmost of the time it will try figuring something out andmaking sense of something solely based on informationthat we’ve learned, which isn’t necessarily the truth.A great and simple exercise we can use to really getin touch with this inner guidance is simply closing oureyes, taking a few deep breaths, relaxing our mind toquiet our thoughts and asking ourselves a question: Isthis right for me? Is this what I need to experience rightnow? Carefully listen with a quiet mind and feel with anopen heart. Everyone is different and so you may heara loving, peaceful and neutral voice, some people maysee a vision that can guide them or some may just feeland know what they need to do or say, depending on theexperience at hand.WRITTEN BY: Matthew ChristodoulouEMAIL: matthew@collective-evolution.comBLOG: www.collective-evolution.com/author/matthewremember that we’re here for growth and going througha shift in consciousness which is meant for us to live in anew way, with a new state of awareness. If we’re judgingour experiences or identifying with and creating storiesaround being a vegan or vegetarian or whatever else,we’re still playing with the old way of doing things whichisn’t serving anymore as it’s very limiting. We createseparation through judgement because we can gettrapped in the idea that because we have now changedour way of life, we are better than others and what theyare doing is wrong. All experiences are perfect and eachof us have the right to choose and experience as we wish.We can’t make mistakes, nor can we do anything wrong, everything just is what it is. Our past experiences werebased on a previous level of consciousness which wasperfect for us to experience to get where we’re at now!If we identify with being something like a Veganor Vegetarian and have it represent something likebeing different or special or better than others, we canget caught up in judging others and judging ourselvesif we feel we don’t meet the “standards” of what thosedefinitions mean to us or society. Just be yourself andenjoy your experiences. If you feel at any point you wantto steer in a new direction or go back to what you wereexperiencing before, that’s okay! In time you will knowwhat is right for you to be doing. Love your experiencesand be at peace with whatever unfolds!3. Judgement and identification with the new lifestyleThese are big ones for many and it’s because it’s soeasy to pass judgement on ourselves and others and tobecome identified with something new. CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013018A Closer Look At OSENSESWRITTEN BY: Ashley Hester -- E-MAIL: Ashleybhester1@gmail.com -- WEBSITE:Senses, for all of our developmental years, we aretaught that we have merely five. That we can see with oureyes, hear with our ears, taste with our mouths and touchwith our hands. Now, lately I find myself debating thesefacts. Are those truly the only five senses we have anddevelop? Many people would say, obviously not. However, they can’t tell you exactly what the magical “sixth sense”is. We will hear words like ESP, subtle senses and intuition. However, that is not a developed trait that all human beingsfeature. Feelings however, are everywhere and always.Photo Credit: Sammylee (stock.xchng)I have been doing a lot of research on feelings andwhat they “are.” In my mind, though, they are another sense.A sense of the body and the constant energetic shifts it isgoing through. Feelings are our navigational tool to promoteself-realization and understanding. Without feelings, wewould only know the logic-base of being alive. Feelings aredefinitely a sense of the organ of the brain. Without whichthe neurotransmitters and chemical reactions that weknow as “emotional reactions,” would not exist. It is onlythough, with the conscious realization that we control ourreaction to things, that frees us from our emotions. We arenot enslaved to these chemical reactions, just as we are notenslaved by our allergies.Yes, we may have malfunctions such as pink eye, runny nose, burned tongues, or clogged ears, but we areaware of the malfunction and we operate outside of ourdiscomfort. Can we say the same of our emotions? Dowe recognize that there is always the possibility that anemotional reaction is just a bit of a malfunction and notquite within the comfort of “who we are?” It is said thatfeelings can be measured in direct proportion to howmuch we like or dislike something. It is a correlation of themind then, and not the mind itself which creates feelings. Our brain is able to fix upon a particular object, thought, shape, color, pattern, or really anything and decide: likeor dislike. Once that happens, depending on the externalconsciousness around us, we find ourselves developingcertain feelings about these seemingly inconsequentialmoments of now. Therein, these reactions of emotions arethen varied depending on the function of the brain and theexternal world around us.Could we not then infer that our feelings are a sensethat we use to help navigate emotional distress andelation? I believe that if we look at the logic pattern of thesubconscious, conscious, choice, emotion, feeling, andrealization we can see that feeling is what makes sense ofthe interaction.Photo Credit: restless77 (stock.xchng)“Feelings are our navigational tool to promoteunderstanding. Without feelings, we would only kbeing alive.”

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013019urtheuntetheredash.wordpress.comIf we were to openly see feeling as a separate sense thatcan be developed, we would learn that emotions are tricky. We would be able to understand that our subconscioustakes in things at a rate faster than our waking state and thatis what creates conscious decision making. Knowing that, how could we not then see that the emotions that stem fromthat choice are purely a reaction to the choice itself? Withall of this information, I think it is simple to find ourselvesseeing even more clearly that feelings are the sense thatgive us pause from the instantaneous chemical responseto choice and it’s externalization in our consciousness. Wecan begin to learn to develop out of cognitive dissonance, and the emotional reactions of disbelief, offense, anxietyand fear. We are just not as developed in our sensoryability to manifest the emotions into feelings of faith, trustand love. This is an ability that any human brain has theability to function through given meditation, yoga, goodnutrition, support and love. It is interesting that we seemto be so engulfed by our emotions. We call them disorders, imbalances and other superficial terms that only serve togloss over the shallow surface. Where is the depth? We understand now that the brain is capable of somuch more than what we have previously given creditto, and in accepting that knowledge I hope we can beginto foster our feelings into those of success. We are thecreators, the ones who manifest, we are the feelers of theUniverse. That is our humanity. We are emotional, we feel,we touch, we see, we hear, we taste and we are aware of itall. Let’s open ourselves to the idea that feeling is natural, but we are not powerless over it. Let’s look our emotionsdown to their roots, and let’s manifest something better. We are powerful beyond measure, and we are not just ourmind, emotions, heart, or body. We are all of that manifestedtogether into the conscious energetic field of life. This isour sixth sense, to feel. How many more have you discovered?IS ONTWITTER@FOLLOW#HASHTAGself-realization andnow the logic-base of@COLLECTIVEEVOL

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013020Magnetism IAS A THERAPEUWRITTEN BY: Limor Windt --In a new report, Dr. Alexander O. Krouham (M.D.), and Claudia Martínez Mendoza (P.T.) reviewmagnetism’s influence on human beings, including its physical properties, mechanisms ofaction, and physiological effects. In the report, they comment on common electromagneticdiagnostic and therapeutic devices used in medicine today and discuss growth in this area.X‐rays, MRI’s and Ultrasounds are all technologiesbased on electromagnetic radiation. The medicalcommunity accepts these diagnostic devices as trusted, reliable industry standards for health evaluation, yet theuse of magnetism for therapeutic purposes is questionedand often rejected. Could this be due to the enormousinfluence of the pharmaceutical industry, which favorsbiochemical alteration for patient care? Or are we simplyignoring the importance of electromagnetism within thebody’s cells? They propose that electromagnetic phenomena precedethese other processes and therefore must be consideredwhen introducing any type of therapy. The United States National Institute for Health (NIH)currently accepts treatment with electromagnetic fields forthe following symptoms: bone and chronic tendon injuryrepair, nerve stimulation, wound and varicose ulcer healing, osteoarthritis, electro-puncture, tissue regeneration, immune system stimulation and neuroendocrinemodulations. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’snot just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciouslygive other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, ourpresence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne WilliamsonIt is our birthright as spiritual and unlimited beings inhuman form to lead a life that reflects our highest purposeand potential. Unfortunately for many of us, this isn’talways the case. Following the so-called, “norm,” tendsto dominate even the most intelligent and motivated ofhuman beings out of fear of living outside of the box. Whenwe lead our lives this way we may indeed be a part of apack, but ultimately we may not be fulfilling our inner mostdesires and recognize our magnificence. As a result, weplay small in our daily lives holding onto the belief that itis best to play it safe and remain within our comfort zones. When we play it safe and remain in our comfort zones weare limited in what we can do with our lives and who we canbe. Ultimately we hold ourselves back from our brillianceand allowing our light to shine brightly and boldly in theworld. Here are some examples of how we play small:- Giving one’s power away or taking other people’s poweraway- Not taking FULL responsibility for oneself and one’s life- Blaming others or being a victim- Not going after one’s goals, dreams and living a lifein purpose because of the fear of other’s judgments, perceptions, expectations and attachments- Making decisions and choices out of fear- Settling and staying in unhealthy, unsatisfying, toxicrelationships and careers out of fear or limiting beliefs- Avoiding, resisting or refusing to develop oneself fullyand reach one’s fullest potential- Living a life that is status quo- Following the crowd instead of following one’s owninner guidance systemPhoto Credit: pepo (stock.xchng)- Believing that one is limited and in lack- Viewing and seeing oneself as separate from theUniverse/Source/God/Divine and from therest of the worldBe sure to follow Vanessa on Twitter:@OHOMWellness

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013028FEEDING THEConsumptionA NOTE ON MASS CONSUMERISMWRITTEN BY: Jeff Roberts EMAIL: jeff_rob35@hotmail.com BLOG: www.collective-evolution.com/author/jeffrPhoto Credit: Vincitrice (stock.xchng)We live in a consumer nation. “Stuff” seems to be ourgeneration’s newest mantra, with each person in the U.S.producing an estimated 4.5 pounds of garbage per day. Thatis twice the amount that was produced 30 years ago. We arebombarded by hundreds to thousands of advertisementsper day ($435 billion is spent on advertising worldwideannually,) which is blatantly intended to influence people tocontinue consuming more and more things. From food toclothing, to cosmetics and automobiles, we just can’t seemto get enough material items to satisfy our ego desires. The impact of this societal obsession is vast, affectingthe people and the planet at a disturbing rate. In the pastten years alone, one third of the world’s natural resourceshave been used up. This fact should raise the hair onanyone’s neck. In addition to the environmental impact, mass consumption is affecting our health as thousandsof synthetic chemicals and materials are being depositedin most of our food, clothes and cosmetics which can belinked to the influx of health problems the population iscurrently facing. The problem doesn’t seem to be getting better, asearlier this year more than 400 workers were killed andthousands were seriously injured in the collapse of agarment factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dhaka is one ofthe poorest cities in the world, which is why many of thetop international retailers situate their manufacturingheadquarters there. The workers are paid practically nothingto work in unsafe and inhumane work conditions. Joe Fresh,a Canadian company, was one of the retailers employinga large portion of the injured factory workers. Some of theother top sweatshop offenders in North America todayinclude Forever 21, The Gap, Levi Strauss, Nike, and Guess, which all contribute to Canada’s annual $450 billion dollarretail industry. That’s a lot of “stuff” being bought. Yet evenafter the devastating events such as the Dhaka factorycollapse we continue to feed and buy into the system thatis laid out by the powers that be.Photo Credit: linder6580 (stock.xchng)“From food to clothing, to cosmetics and automobiles, we just can’tseem to get enough material items to satisfy our ego desires.”

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013029Photo Credit: ortonesque (stock.xchng)The meat industry is amongst the largest carbonfoot-print industries currently existing. The United Nationsreports that “the livestock sector is one of the two orthree most significant contributors to the most seriousenvironmental problems, including climate change, air andwater pollution, land degradation and biodiversity loss. Thereport estimates that livestock accounts for 18 percent ofall greenhouse gas emissions, significantly more thantransportation. Furthermore, we are losing hundreds ofthousands of acres of rainforest to make room for cattlegrazing land. Factory-farmed animals also generate about500 million tons of manure a year, a figure that jumped 60percent between 1990 and 2008 and has polluted 34,000miles of rivers and 216,000 acres of lakes and reservoirsthroughout the country”(1.)It is an alarming fact that the richest 20% in the worldaccount for 86% of total private consumption of materialgoods; the poorest 20% account for only 1.3% (5.) Somethingis dreadfully wrong with this picture. It is evident that themass production and consumption of material goods isleading our planet towards an unsustainable future. These statistics can be overwhelming to consideron such a mass scale, but it is important for everyone tobe aware of the personal and environmental impact weas a society are making on the planet. However, it is alsoimportant to remember that change starts with one person. The first step we must take to inspire change involvesbecoming educated about the effects of mass consumerism.Spreading awareness to family and friends can go a verylong way. Most people just don’t know the facts about whatis happening in our world, and it is as easy as sparking upa conversation around the dinner table or at a coffee shopthat could create a ripple effect of change in your own circle.Secondly, it is crucial to evaluate your personal choices inregards to your consumption of material goods. Simpleactions like buying bulk, using a water bottle, and recyclinghave a profound green footprint over the course of a year. Finally, switching to a balanced vegetarian diet will benefitboth your personal heath and the environment.Perhaps the most important action we can take, however, is to look inside ourselves. Ancient wisdom willtell anyone that a life of material consumption will neverlead to fulfillment. The only true peace and enlightenmentcomes from within, the understanding that we are part of theinfinite and transcendent creator love. The moment we stopbuying into the corporate systems and start embracing ourtrue essence, the sooner we move towards our evolutionarydestiny as a collective.REFERENCES:1) http://www.csa.com/discoveryguides/meat/review.pdf2) http://newint.org/features/2006/11/01/facts/3) http://www.storyofstuff.org/movies-all/story-of-stuff/4)http://www.facingthefuture.org/IssuesSolutions/ConsumptionEcologicalFootprint/ConsumptionFastFacts/tabid/176/Default.aspx#.UhbKnxssmSpPhoto Credit: beer (stock.xchng)Jeff is also a regular contributor to the Collective Evolution Website. Soviet geCE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013032Waiting forIT’S A“DisclosuA big topic within the UFO community today is thesubject of disclosure. What is disclosure? If we’re waitingfor a big announcement from Barack Obama, don’t counton it. Not too long ago, The White House released anofficial statement saying that they are not concealing anyinformation about extraterrestrials and UFOs, and that thereis no credible evidence to suggest that UFOs are real. Are you serious? Dozens of governments, military andthree letter agencies have released official files that indicatethe reality of the UFO phenomenon. UFOs are constantlytracked on radar and jets are usually scrambled to take acloser look. These agencies are government agencies aren’tthey? Releasing files like this admits that they spend manyresources studying the phenomenon, are highly interested inthe phenomenon and keep it highly classified.Beyond this, we have high-ranking military and politicalpersonnel that have come out and shared their involvementin programs that involve UFOs, and/or extraterrestrials. PaulHellyer recently admitted to several former congressmenand woman at a citizens hearing that governments havebeen working with at least two types of known alien races.Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers aresoberly concerned about UFOs. But through official secrecyand ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknownflying objects are nonsense. —Former CIA Director, Roscoe Hillenkoetter, publicstatement, 1960.Most of the world is waking up to the fact that UFOsare real, and that some of them are controlled and operated

We don’t need an officialannouncement from the president of the United States,or some major world organization like the United Nations. The citizenry of planet Earth is responsible for creatingawareness, and eventually getting to the point of peace andcooperation in order to ‘deserve’ the chance for open contact. We still have a long way to go before that happens.Although we are becoming more aware, we still have to gothrough the process of 100 percent certainty, the point where100% of the population knows we are not alone. CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013038DVD & BOOK REVIEWSCode Name God - The Spiritual Odyssey of a Man of ScienceBy: Mani BhaumikWRITTEN BY: Michael Jeffreys EMAIL: mjeffreys1@roadrunner.com AWAKENING BLOG: www.mjeffreys.com2008222 Pages$17.95 USD(Crossroad Publishing)“This relates to the idea that events in onesector of the universe are linked to eventsin another, that everything is, at the deepestquantum level, everywhere. That all is one.”– Mani BhaumikMani Bhaumik was born on March 30,1931 in a primitive village near the Bay ofBengal during a time when India struggledfor its independence from British Colonialrule. Despite almost unbearable hardshipsuch as famine, floods, and walking 4 milesa day barefoot on a dirt road to school, Manifound he had a gifted intellect, a passionfor math and science, and a thirst for Godwhich eventually led him out of poverty tounimaginable wealth and success. What would it be like to go from beingborn into abject poverty, to one day findingyourself being invited to speak all over theworld to some of the brightest, richest, andmost influential people on the planet? Togo from living in a mud hut to owning sixbeautiful homes, dating many attractivewoman (including a world famous actress,)throwing A-list parties in the exclusive hillsof Los Angeles known as Bel-Air estates, andbeing featured on “Lifestyles of the Rich andFamous?”Now imagine that after 10 years of livingwhat can only be described as the Americandream on steroids, it begins to dawn on youthat despite all the trappings of success, youare still not truly happy.“I had filled six dream houses with fine artand designer furniture, but it all seemed tobelong to someone who was not me.”–Mani BhaumikIn the chapter titled, The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down, Mani shares how asthe egoic high that throwing extravagantparties had once given him began to wearoff, he realized that his invited guests werethere to eat his food, drink his alcohol, andincrease their own stature and networkingconnections:“Once I had deluded myself that the partycrowd came for me.” –Mani BhaumikAs Mani points out, more often than not, once the ego comes into money, it is nevertruly satisfied and the urge to have morequickly takes over:“For many newly wealthy people, there’sa point on the road of good fortune whereacquisition becomes compulsion, andcompulsion leads to a kind of sickness of thespirit.” –Mani BhaumikThis is Mani Bhaumik’s story, whichhe tells in Code Name God. The book’s titlestems from the idea that the name at thecore of all religions: Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah,Brahman, etc. are all “code name” for thesame thing: the Source of Creation, i.e., God.“Contrary to the scientific bias thatmysticism is a vague, metaphysicalthing, the mystical experience itself isevidently of great clarity; otherwise, how could so many from such diversebackgrounds describe it in suchsimilar terms?”– Mani Bhaumik

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013039Early on though, it was not his resonation withMysticism that drove young Mani, but his passion for mathand science:“When I enrolled in high school, I took to math and sciencecourse like the proverbial duck to water. The elegantsymmetry of math and the pristine logic of science drewme with an almost magnetic force, and I had—even then—astrong intuition that they were to be the basis of mydreamed-of fortune.” – Mani BhaumikHis sharp mind soon became evident to his teachers:“Before the math teacher had finished writing a problem onthe blackboard, I had solved it, and soon enough, peoplewere saying, ‘The Bhaumik boy is a genius’.”– Mani BhaumikSomeone who made a big impression on Mani whenhe was 14 years old was Mahatma Gandhi:“During Gandhi’s last great push to rid India of its colonialoverlords, he brought his teeming entourage to a place nearTamluk and made camp. It was my great fortune to live withhim, to drink the wisdom that came from his lips, and toserve him for a short while.” –Mani BhaumikFrom the great spiritual leader of India oftencame such “stop you in your tracks” wisdom as:“It has always been a mystery to me that men can feelthemselves honored by the humiliation of their fellowhuman beings.” –Mahatma GandhiOnce Mani began delving into the world of mysticism,of the underlying force that governs all of existence, he didso not out of emotion, but with the natural skepticism of ascientist.(And a world famous one at that: Mani led the teamthat pioneered the development of the excimer laser, whichgained worldwide recognition for its use in LASIK cornealeye-surgery which millions have had to correct far/nearsightedness, including me!)Mani approached this “problem of God/Oneness,” witha skeptical eye. Hearsay or secondhand information washelpful, but ultimately a true scientist’s only puts their trustin one thing: what do I know from my own direct experience? The question being pondered was, can science “prove”that despite appearances, ALL is ONE? A “Theory ofEverything,” as it’s been called. According to Mani Bhaumik, the answer is yes. Through quantum physics, Cosmology(the study of the evolution of the Universe) and usingthe latest technology, such as electron microscopes andparticle accelerators, many open minded scientist have nowcome to see what the mystics of all the great religions havebeen saying for thousands of years: Despite appearances, nothing is separate from anything else. Everything is theONE, appearing as THAT. Says Mani:“We will uncover—through a quick dip into quantumphysics—that when we penetrate to the deepest level ofreality, we seem to find an undivided totality, an ‘emptiness’that is—paradoxically—full.”And:“The surprising discovery of quantum physics is that theprimary source of everything in the universe is present ineach minutest stitch of the fabric of space of this immenselyvast cosmos and empowers us to ponder the One Sourceof all creation.” –Mani BhaumikOf course, having an intellectual understanding ofthe ONEness of everything (or more precisely, non-duality,meaning, “not two”), is not enough; one must have a directexperience of it to really know it beyond just a belief. How?By getting quiet and going within, i.e., meditation. Says Mani:“Mystics throughout the ages have known this feeling, and my Indian forebears described it as… ‘bubbling fromthe inside.’ It is the great, divine calm that ensues whenone has dimmed down the organs of sensory perceptionenough to feel reconnected to the ground of being, and it isremarkably accessible. The software is pre-installed.”And:“I had slipped into the well of my own being and emergedreplenished.” – Mani BhaumikThe “ultimate goal” of mediation is to see for ourselvesthat we are not our ego, but that “the ego” is an energyappearing within us that erroneously believes itself to beseparate from the Unified Whole:“Whether one is a Christian quietist, a Jewish Kabbalist,a Muslim Sufi, a Hindu Yogi, a Buddhist Tantrist, or aZen master, when you get down to the level of religiousepiphany, the experience is the same: dissolution of egoboundaries, a merging of the observer and the observed,a union with the one source of all.” – Mani BhaumikCONTINUES ON THE NEXT PAGE...

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013040FINAL THOUGHTSCan science “prove” the existence of God? At theircore, are all major religions saying the same thing: God issilently looking out your eyes! That he is not some mythicalbearded man up in the heavens who judges us (as thechurch would have us believe,) but rather EVERYTHINGin existence and EVERYTHING not in existence. Thatform comes from emptiness, and it all happens within theeternal, infinite nature of our very essence. Mani Bhaumik, the “spiritual scientist” has lived quite an extraordinary life, and Code Name God shares much of what he learned alongthe way.“I found a way to visualize the abstract notion that all isBrahman, that all substance derives from a single essence.”–Mani BhaumikMichael Jeffreys is the organizer of The Santa Monica Eckhart TolleMeetup (www.meetup.com/smtolle) and the author of 9 books. CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013044ASTRO-EVOLUTIOI Hope all of you enjoyed your summer! Whatsummer you ask? I hear you...not sure if it is comingwith age, but I so hear you. Last month was quite hecticwith the FULL BLUE Moon we had in Aquarius and allthose stressful aspects with the T squares and grandcrosses (4 squares) all involving Venus (self worth andappreciation in relationships) in Libra, Jupiter (expansion, understanding and wisdom through experience, moralsand principles) gained from connecting to our familyroots, the past and home in Cancer, Uranus (suddenchange, unexpected and excitement, restlessnessand nervousness) with our identity and self image/expression and Pluto (transformation, purge, TRUTH,fears and confrontations) in the area of status, authority, career, home, family, accomplishments andcontributions. This all occurred in the last 2 weeks ofAugust. So if you felt things were crazy those transitswere a major influence. Now onto this month, starting September 1st wehave a chance to take back and own our power as SUNis in trine aspect with Pluto. Both being in earth signs ofVirgo and Capricorn, our power is strongly influencedby practical, committed, hard working measures. Tangleresults come from empowering ourselves to followthrough on our goals. The more we can embody our willpower and confidence in what is important to us at thistime, our purpose/plan cannot fail.Mercury, the planet of the mind and communication,is entering the air sign of Libra September 9th. This is achance to work on communicating more closely withinour relationships. Our minds are directed towardssharing, listening, connecting with our partners andthat of those we consider ourselves close to. Thiscould be a time to have that long overdue conversationin our relationships that can no longer wait. We mustremember the listening part too, as I am sure this willalso be coming from the other end, where others havethings they want to discuss. Be attentive and diplomaticin these interactions, and most of all, express anyappreciation that is needed. Since Mars and Saturnwill be in a square aspect, sometimes this is a call forless “doing” and more sharing/ communicating. Ouractions can have a more serious tone than our words,so any resistance felt to get things done is a perfecttime OUT and let’s chat day.Things do get heated up when Venus the planet ofattraction and satisfaction enters into the intense watersign of Scorpio September 11th where our desires areamplified and we may feel a strong need for intimacy, love making or even moreso a time to make seriousemotional commitments. Venus in Scorpio is stubborn, pushy, demanding and emotional so hopefully by nowwhatever needed to be addressed in conversation hasbeen said and things are starting to move so that wePhoto Credit: jtkunley (stock.xchng)

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013045N MONTHLYwith Astrologer Kelly Simascan get our intense desires met at this time throughour relationships and partnerships. I can tell you rightnow that whatever you put into action (Mars – Scorpio’sTraditional ruling planet) will have some powerfulhealing results as Mars is in a Yod aspect (known asthe finger of God) with Pluto (truth and transformation)and Chiron (healing). Pluto is currently in a sextileaspect with Chiron and they both are pointing the fingerat Mars. This could be taking the ACTION in healingour relationships in some way. Mars is transiting inproudly through the loyal courageous fire sign of Leofor the entire month. Our energies are directed at beingloving, passionate, creative and brave. Sometimesrelationships end as part of the healing process aswell. Whatever unfolds, trust it is for the healing goodof everyone involved. This Yod is in effect until the 3rdweek of September.Venus in Scorpio is in trine with Neptune in PiscesSeptember 14th which brings some harmony withwhat is currently inspiring us to fulfill our lives. This isa romantic and magical energy to escape into dreamsand fantasies. It is certainly a day to indulge in ourcreativity while being kind and compassionate, whiletaking the time to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us.On another note, on the same day Mercury in Librawill be in a tough square aspect with Pluto whichforms a T square as Mercury opposes Uranus (sudden, unexpected change) on September 16th. This meansthat confrontations of ideas or opinions may occur andwe are easily distracted in disagreements and otherpeople’s unexpected view points. We may have brilliantideas but it may not be the best time to force themwhen others are not on the same level of understandingyet. Instead, we may just do our own thing as Mars isin trine aspect with Uranus, because we will certainlyfeel restless and want to act. Luckily this is more infavour to act on our own rather than to force others tocome, as long as we are not breaking any rules and aresure our current excitement isn’t going to bite us in thebutt later. I feel this could be a period of breakthroughswhen it comes to our professional endeavours as Plutogoes direct in Capricorn September 20th.We are celebrating the New Moon in VirgoSeptember 5th as I will be on my second day of my10 day silent retreat. This marks a new beginning inimproving our lives to make work more efficient. Ifigured what a great way to de-clutter my mind. Thismonth’s full moon is in Pisces September 19th whichcalls us to cultivate a more compassionate & loving selfwhile listening to that inner voice that is guiding us onthis magical journey on earth.Happy Solar Return to Libras as the sun entersyour sign September 22nd. Happy equinox as it isofficially the season of fall. A season where we canharvest what is rightfully ours, and watch the beautifulgreens change colours, as we prepare for change tooas things come to culmination.KELLY SIMASKelly Simas is an Intuitive Counsellor/Coach, Astrologer, Numerologist, and ReikiPractitioner. CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013046monthly exercisesFollow Your Dreams! This month’s exercise will involve some self reflection! Although simple, this exercise can get you thinking aboutwhat you truly want to be doing and what holds you back from getting going on it. Who knows, by making a fewadjustments, you can be finding joy in your life before you know it!Start by making some time for YOU.Sit in a quiet space with a pen and some paper and begin thinking about some things you really want to do.When thinking, don’t put rules or limitations on anything, just write down what comes to mind.Once complete, go back through your list and pick one you want to begin making happen right away.Be realistic but don’t set anything aside as impossible. Sometimes things seem impossible when really they are a fewsmall steps away from coming into being. Now that you have narrowed one day to begin with, you can start figuring out what steps you need to take to getit going. Start at the very beginning and put in some sort of action plan to get moving. If you meet resistance fromyourself in terms of how hard or impossible something might be, reflect on why you have those beliefs. Don’t letlimiting self talk and beliefs stop you from experiencing what you wish to experience.Follow this last step with the remaining items on your list and before you know it you will be on your way to makingthings happen that you have either been putting off for a while or felt you could never do.Taking the time to reflect and actually tackle the steps to your desires is usually one of the hardest things for peopleto get going.Have fun!JULY ANSWERS1) Plants 2) Placebo3) Chemotherapy 4) Vitamins5) Monsanto 6) Pot7) Toothpaste 8) Printing9) Africa 10) ProcrastinationPhoto Credit: Krappweis (stock.xchng)

CE MAGAZINE - SEPTEMBER 2013047COLLECTIVE EVOLUTIONWRITTEN BY: Joe MartinoEMAIL: joe@collective-evolution.comBLOG: www.collective-evolution.com/author/joeUPDATESYou might have noticed, CE MAGAZINE IS FREENOW! This was something we had contemplated since thebeginning but felt we needed to get the magazine up andrunning first. We have always tried to make accessibility akey focus for us when it came to our content. Regardlessof how difficult things were in the first 3 years, makingcontent available to people was very important to us andmaking the choice to charge for the magazine was a bitof a new territory for us.Your support in getting this magazine off theground was monumental in allowing us to make it free toeveryone now. Since then, we have already noticed quitea large spike in who it reaches and this is a great sign thatthis information is on many peoples radar. The big move to ‘free’ is not the only big update forAugust, some big strides have been made on CE3 whichis pushing the project closer to completion. Among theeveryday happenings here at CE I made it a goal to try andcomplete the script 100% for the doc and begin recordingthe narrations. I had been speaking to an animator whois going to be building some awesome animations forthe doc and the only thing holding him back from gettingstarted was the narrations themselves. It’s exciting tosay that now they will begin as things are ready to go.The outlook still looks positive for a 2013 completion andthings are coming together more and more by the day.Looking at the calendar I can’t believe summer ispretty much over. Time is passing us by at a crazy rate. Atthe same time, so much is changing! As we’ve previouslymentioned about the changes that have taken place inCE, we are also noticing quite a few changes in the realmof global consciousness and UFO sightings. It seemseveryone these days is talking about either having seena UFO recently or having heard stories of their friendswho recently saw some. I can say even from our end wehave noticed an increase based on what we’ve directlyseen and we hear a lot of people telling us about theexperiences they have been having. It’s quite clear theskies are active and whoever is trying to make themselvesknown is working hard at it.Finally, if you are in the Toronto area in September,be sure to check out the peaceful march against waterfluoridation that will be taking place on the 21st. We willbe down there and are excited to be part of such a hugegrowing movement. Hopefully soon fluoride will be out ofwater supplies everywhere!Hope you all have a great month! See you nextmonth!Photo Credit: danjaegar (stock.xchng)
