18Financial information 2004 – 2005Stability, growth mark endof <strong>Mission</strong> <strong>Network</strong> fiscal yearIn its first stable contribution year since its inception inFebruary 2002, <strong>Mennonite</strong> <strong>Mission</strong> <strong>Network</strong> celebratedthe emergence of a new global partnership,saw many people begin new international assignmentsand witnessed vigorous signs of healththroughout the organization’s ministries andprograms.“I believe these ambassadors of the gospelrepresent an interest in the <strong>Mission</strong> <strong>Network</strong>living up to its vision, with all congregationsand every part of the church becoming activein mission,” said Stanley Green, executivedirector and CEO of <strong>Mennonite</strong> <strong>Mission</strong><strong>Network</strong>. “They represent an expansionbeyond prior capacity and reflect greater missionalengagement by congregations.“What an exciting time to be alive and to bepart of God’s mission in partnership with God’speople everywhere,” Green said. “We appreciatethe ongoing support of our constituents in theseexciting times and look forward to their continuedgenerous support.”During the 2004-2005 fiscal year, <strong>Mission</strong> <strong>Network</strong>contributions remained steady compared with those fromthe previous year at about $6.4 million.“Given the fact that the same dollars buy less each year,steady contributions translate to decreasing program,” saidPeter Graber, senior executive for <strong>Mission</strong>al Church Advancement.“As <strong>Mennonite</strong> Church USA settles into a newrhythm, we expect that future contribution totals will trackmore closely with the expanding personal income availableto our supporters.”Contributions 63%Congregations gave69% of contributionsReserves applied tooperations 19%Program revenue 14%Other income 2%Investment income 2%Individuals gave 31%of contributionsResourcesFund-raising 7%Executive BoardFirstfruits grant 5%Support Services 12%Additional notes1.
