hanson plywood ltdMarine Plywood – Exterior GlueProduced from moderately durable species with an exterior glue line allowing this panel to survive longer in high moisture environments. The superiority of marine plywood for demanding end uses relates to the greater control over types, thicknesses and quality of veneer andthe manufacturing processes which the marine standard imposes. These requirements make marine grade plywood more costly than theequivalent general purpose ‘exterior’ type, a fact which should be borne in mind when deciding which type to specify.Size 4mm 6mm 9mm 12mm 18mm 25mm2440 x 1220mm £11.22 £14.85 £19.70 £24.98 £37.84 £54.78UsesGeneral joinery, boat building, panels in exposed areas.Applicable StandardsBS EN 313/314 – Plywood classification, terminology & bonding quality.BS EN 635/636 – Plywood classification by surface appearance & specification.Lloyds Approved Marine Plywood – Exterior GlueOkume throughout marine grade plywood, class 3 exterior glue - manufactured in accordancewith BS 1088:2003 and guaranteed for 20 years from manufacture.Size 4mm 6mm 9mm 12mm 18mm 25mm2440 x 1220mm £31.22 £43.16 £50.25 £62.40 £86.97 £123.90UsesGeneral joinery, boat building, panels in exposed areas.Applicable StandardsBS EN 313/314 – Plywood classification, terminology & bonding quality.BS EN 635/636 – Plywood classification by surface appearance & specification.fully committed toensuring that wecontinue to supportall efforts to preservethe environment10www.hanson-plywood.co.uk

product guide 2013Decorative Veneered PanelsVeneered PanelsHanson Plywood supply a diverse range of real wood veneer panel products.Unlike imitation wood such as melamine or laminates wood veneers are extremely unique and thus areessential for high end applications. Each specie has it's own particular character and no two will exhibit theexact same colour or texture.Veneers are cut from the log in predominantly two ways to produce different characteristics in colour andgrain:• Quarter cut veneers are cut at 90% to the growth rings to produce a straight grained effect.• Crown cut veneers are sliced through the log to produce 'crowns' which give a more characteristicappearance.KeyC/C – Crown CutQ/C – Quarter CutA/B – A grade front, B grade reverseA/Bal – A grade front, balancer reversefinishesAshSteamed BeechAmerican CherryGalician PineAmerican MapleEuropean OakSapele C/C Sapele Q/C American Walnutemail: panels@hanson-plywood.co.uk tel: 01422 330444 fax: 01422 33070627
