However, Pr<strong>of</strong> Simbi haspromised to approach “.....ZIMSEC and HighSchoosl to workout modalities on how toeffect practical laboratory classes that are arequirement in nurturing science pupils.The VC announced that <strong>CUT</strong> will start preuniversityfoundation courses inMathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistryand other Sciences as a strategy toenhance enrolment into science andtechnology degree programmes. Those whogo through will qualify to enrol at <strong>CUT</strong>.The introduction <strong>of</strong> the School <strong>of</strong> NaturalSciences and Mathematics is to provide thenecessary Science and Mathematicsfoundation to programmes in Agriculture andEngineering Sciences. The School beginswith a research and teaching equipment tothe tune <strong>of</strong> US$500 000 sourced fromseeding laboratories in the US.
