In a sample ofover 400 diverse state schoolsthroughout England, the surveyfound there is a positivedifference in GCSE results themore rugby union the schooldelivers across the school day.Furthermore, the correlationbetween attainment and rugbyunion activity in this sample ofschools is particularly evidentwhere the schools have ahigh percentage of childrenentitled to free school meals.The Foundation is continuingto evaluate the research andexpand it to consider attendanceand behaviour.
