Stir in sugar.In a saucepan melt fat and treacle and pour into the dry ingredients.Lightly beat eggs and milk then pour into flour mixture.Beat well until you have a smooth batter.Pour into prepared tin and bake for 50-60mins 170C, 160C fan, Gas 3. until skewercomes out clean.Leave to cool in tin before turning out.Banana and Chocolate Chip Loaf1 ripe banana, 1 tbsp milk, 50g soft butter/margarine, 75g plain flour, 75g castersugar,½ tsp bicarbonate of soda, ½ tsp baking powder, 1 egg, 50g dark chocolate chipsTo decorate – 50g dark chocolatePreheat the oven 160C/325F/Gas 3. Grease and line a 450g loaf tin with bakingparchmentUse a fork to mash the peeled banana in a mixing bowl. Add the remaining cakeingredients (except the chocolate chips) and beat until combined and smooth.Stir in the chocolate chips and spoon the mixture into the prepared loaf tin. Level thetop.Bake for 40-45 minutes or until well risen and golden brown.Set aside to cool for 10 minutes then remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack.Melt the chocolate in a small bowl over a pan of simmering water.Spoon the melted chocolate in to a piping bag and pipe zigzags across the top of theloaf.Honey Cake150g butter, 110g soft brown sugar, 175g clear honey, 1tbsp water, 2 eggs, 200g SRflour, a few flaked almondsGreased and lined tin 7”approxPut butter, sugar, honey and water in a saucepan and heat gently until sugar andbutter have melted.Leave to cool.Beat the eggs one at a time into cool mixture, and then stir in flour. (Do not over mix)Pour mixture into tin. Arrange almonds on top of mixtureBake for 1 hour or until risen and firm to touch at 180C, 170C fan, Gas 4.Turn out, remove paper and leave to cool.18 19

Rules and RegulationsAll competitors in all ridden events must be wearing the correct riding clothing (includingfootwear), otherwise the Committee has the right to refuse entry. Hard hats with a chinstrapshould be worn at all times when on horseback, even when not competing. *See below forRiding Hat requirements*Owners entering their horses/ponies do so entirely at their own risk and it is a condition ofentry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to <strong>Brailes</strong> Horse <strong>Show</strong> or its Committee in anyrespect whatsoever, other than the liability for the refund of entry fee in the event ofabandonment of a competition.
