We have now covered aperiod of twelve years.We return thanks to the many who have kindly aided us in giving informationin compiling our lists of names, societies, etc.We have made a careful canvass of the entire city and believe we have agood list of the leading residents and house-holders.No doubt there aresome names of business men omitted, who were boarding 1 , that were not givento us.We publish as complete a list of Clubs, Societies, etc. as possible withinformation sent us.We have evidence that our efforts have been appreciated by the enlargedlist of Subscribers.We also have more advertisers than the previous volume.We wish to call particular attention to the announcements of out Advertisers,as it is only through their enterprise and patronage that we are able tosell the book for one dollar.Very respectfully,EDWABI) A.
