Scope of work includesall field and laboratory testing services for design of a multi-use trail within the ROW of a former rail bed, plusdesign of a new stormwater collection/conveyance system. Field work includes auger and SPT borings along theplanned trail and the stormwater pipeline route. Reporting will include evaluation of the encountered subsurfaceconditions for trail and pipeline support, and construction recommendations for fill and backfill placement.FDOT D2, SR 200 (US 301) Starke By-Pass Segment 3 – Starke, Florida & SR 200 (US 301) BaldwinBy-Pass – Baldwin, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer. These projects include new roadway and bridge construction in Starke andBaldwin, Florida. Each project includes subsurface explorations for approximately 2 to 4 miles of proposedroadway, bridge, culvert design, miscellaneous structures and ponds. The field explorations include split-spoonsampling, auger boring drilling, test pit explorations, and muck probing. MAE project responsibilities include thepreparation of Roadway Soil Survey and Structures Reports including recommendations for roadway, bridge, highembankment and miscellaneous structure design and construction.I-295 Off-Ramp to SR-228 (Normandy Boulevard) – Duval County, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer responsible for this project which includes the widening of I-295 northbound exitramp to accommodate dual left turn lanes at SR 228 (Normandy Boulevard) and construction of mast arm signals.MAE’s responsibilities include SPT borings at the mast arm signal locations, auger borings for the proposedroadway widening and pavement cores of the existing ramp and Normandy Boulevard pavement. A RoadwaySoils Survey Report was prepared which included recommendations for new pavement construction, mast armsignal foundation design recommendations, and results of the soil borings and pavement cores.Blackrock Road Improvements – SR A1A to Heron Isles Parkway – Nassau County, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer for this project which includes approximately 2 miles of roadway widening, addition of turn lanes. This project includes the replacement of the existing box culvert at Lanceford Creek with aGeosynthetic Reinforced-Soil Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS), the first bridge system of this type built inFlorida. MAE’s responsibilities include Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings at the creek crossing, augerborings and bulk soil sampling for the roadway widening, and pavement coring. A Roadway Soils Survey Reportwas prepared which will include recommendations for new pavement construction, pavement milling depth andresurfacing recommendations. All required analysis, including settlement, over-turning and global slope stabilitywas performed for the GRS-IBS.FDOT D2, US 17 Widening, Wells Road to I-295 – Clay County, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer on this on-going project that includes widening of the existing US 17 NB lanes inDuval County, Florida.
