testing to estimate hydraulic conductivity of the encountered soils. These values were used to estimatedrawdown impacts on surrounding wetlands at three separate stages using PONDS. (IE)SilverLeaf Plantation DRI – St. Johns County, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer during the design phase of the planned stormwater detention ponds along LeoMaguire Parkway, SR 16 and the CR 16A Connector for this 7,300-acre development. Geotechnical scope includedsoil borings and laboratory permeability tests to determine hydraulic conductivities of the encountered soils. This information was used to model the ponds and determine any wetland impacts that needed to be mitigated.(IE)Navy Federal Projects in NE Florida – Jacksonville, Duval County, FloridaSenior Engineer overseeing construction materials testing and inspection services during the construction phaseof several Navy Federal offices in the Jacksonville area. Services included in-place density testing of on-site soilsubgrades and imported structural fill, field testing during concrete placement and casting of specimens forlaboratory testing, inspection of reinforcing steel prior to concrete placement, inspection of structural steelelements during erection, and inspection and testing of concrete and asphalt placement for parking/drive areas.(IE)NAS Jacksonville H60R Helicopter Hangar, Jacksonville, Duval County, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer. This project was an evaluation of the existing porous asphalt pavement system todetermine the cause or causes of failure due to raveling of the asphalt surface course after only one year ofservice. Field services included observation of the pavement surface and the surrounding area, coring of theasphalt surface in raveled and unraveled areas, and observation of the underlying base course material.Laboratory testing services included testing of the asphalt cores to determine asphalt content and aggregategradation. Recommendations included possible remediation techniques to reduce the risk for future ravelingwhile maintaining the infiltration properties of the pavement. (IE)Former Rayonier Facility, Bunnell, Flagler County, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer. This project involved evaluating an area of the site to stockpile low-levelcontaminated soils. Field services included exploring the subsurface soil conditions and providingrecommendations for allowable net soil contact pressure and allowable side slope angle for the stockpile. Laterservices focused on reusing the contaminated soils on-site as base material for future heavy truck trafficpavement. Laboratory testing was performed on several samples to develop a soil-cement design based on FDOTspecifications. (IE)City of Labelle New Water Treatment Plant, Labelle, Hendry County, FloridaSenior Geotechnical Engineer. This project involved the design of a new Plant in a remote area of Hendry Countysouth of Labelle that was formally used for agriculture. New structures included two storage tanks (60- and 120-foot diameter), a treatment building, a chemical storage building and a degassifier tower structure. Engineeringconsulting services were provided during the field exploration and laboratory testing phases of the project, andfor review of the geotechnical report. Services also included geotechnical design of wet and dry stormwatertreatment ponds.
