Reviews of the album PassagesUnd genau da ist das Zauberwort…Konzept. Jede Note, jeder Ton und jede Stimmlage ist bis zumkleinsten Detail überdacht. Selten habe ich ein Album eines relativ unbekannten Künstlers gehört, was sovor Musikalität strotzt. “Passages” hat einfach alles für einen Major Deal. Es rockt, es jammert, es berührt…es macht Spass, es weckt Emotionen. Und das beste überhaupt. Es kommt aus Düsseldorf. Vielleicht istdieses Review journalistisch wertlos, aber das ist uns so ziemlich egal. Wir verstehen die Message.Jeder, der offen für Experimentelles ist sollte hier seine Ohren hinhalten. Eine Mischung aus Muse,Deftones und Korn mit einer Priese Pink Floyd und New Order. Reviews of the album PassagesIt is easy to get lostin the soundscape ofthe album even atmoments when itseems to get toodark, the productionpulls you right backout and into theastral plane of musicthat "Passages"represents.Rating: 9/10The album begins with the trance-like soundscapeof "Antilight" which slowly begins to set the tone forthe at-times gloomy theme of the album. Mysteriousin where it will take you, it is a fitting beginning forthe hypnotic soundscape which "Passages" is madeup from. Immediately following Antilight, "Color OfThis Place" booms in with heavy guitars and the triprock experience begins. The chorus asks thequestion "Who I Am? My Flesh, My Blood, My spirit",opening the doors to self-reflection and showcasinga bit of the vocal range Anodine's lead singer iscapable of reaching. The 3rd track, "Dark Side ofVenus" is a standout track that pulls you deeper intoemotion over some of the album's best production.You can't help but want to move over to the rawaggression in the guitars."Into The White Light" questions and reflects onwhat we believe and believe in, asking for thetangible and while questioning human weakness.Another stand out track that features greatproduction and vocals. "Break Away" takes a morehardcore turn with low toned vocals over a meaninstrumental. Its literally screams to be free fromdrama and is a cry for freedom from pain. "The Virus"seems to pick up where "Break Away" left off butfrom the standpoint of a man damaged, caughtbetween giving up and fighting to keep movingforward. It is sonically the perfect follow up."Hidden Places" slides back into a self-reflective state, with lyrics that create visuals of an almost Matrixlike building of secret doors, with secrets hidden in each room. Its almost like sonically traveling throughan astral plane. "No Summer" describes the emotion of a cold heart scorned by another heart just as coldand the refusal to allow such pain again. The next track warns of a pending "Storm", this track almostmakes you wait in anticipation of what may be. It is melodically one of the stand out tracks on "Passages".It is an anthem for the readiness of the unknown troubles that await.
