CARNEGIE UNITMATH COURSES• All math classes will be double blocked for 2011-2012 to allow more time formath instruction• Pre-Algebra: is the traditional math class for eighth graders. If a student takesPre-Algebra in 8 th grade, they still may receive an Advanced Studies Diploma inhigh school.• Algebra I: Pre-requisite = Pre-Algebra/Ext. Math 7 & Pass Advanced 8 th grade MathSOL.• Geometry: Pre-requisite = Algebra I & Pass Advanced Algebra I SOL- this is only forstudents who took Algebra I in 7 th grade.
