Copalita Waterfalls 

Located about an hour and a half from the resort, these falls are part of Copalita River and offer 

the opportunity of swimming, relaxing, swinging, hiking and breathtaking views of several 

waterfalls. 

Copalita Eco-Archeological Park 

Only five minutes from the hotel, you can experience the recently discovered ancient city of 

Copalita, a local settlement more than 2,000 years old, predecessor of the Mixtec culture. This 

archeological site is the only one in Mexico hidden in a lush eco-environment; it is filled with 


hundreds of species of birds and wildlife. Copalita archeological site is also the only one along 

the Mexican Pacific Coast. 

La Bocana Lagoon 

The lagoon located in La Bocana is a tourist natural attraction due to its spectacular views, water 

activities and fishing.

Copalita Waterfalls

takes to transport you to this paradise hidden away in the jungle. Along the route into the 

mountains, you will visit Xadani, a quaint, 400 year old village. 

La Crucectia Downtown 

A 10 minute drive from the hotel you will encounter the quaint town of La Crucecita where you 

will find everything from silver jewelry to Oaxaca handicrafts and black potteries, that are an 

everyday bargain. Make a stop at the local church to see the largest painting of the Virgin of 

Guadalupe, and of course you have to try the famous Oaxaca grasshoppers at the local market 

Tangolunda Golf Course 

Extremely popular in Huatulco, this 18-hole, 72-par golf course offers rolling greens,

Tangolunda Golf Course is laid out on a deep but narrow piece of property. As a result there are few 

instances of holes running parallel to each other. Most holes are bordered by a combination of: 

trees: jungle (out of bounds); ponds and a concrete aqueduct. This mix of trouble elements is often 

in play on both sides of a hole. Many times misdirected shots are either lost or unplayable.
