ExERcISE 1<br />

Choose a quiet time when <strong>you</strong> won’t be interrupted, <strong>and</strong> begin inwardly giving<br />

thanks for everything in <strong>you</strong>r life for which <strong>you</strong>’re deeply grateful. Thank God for <strong>you</strong>r<br />

wife or husb<strong>and</strong>, <strong>you</strong>r children, <strong>and</strong> <strong>you</strong>r friends. Keep going until <strong>you</strong> feel <strong>you</strong>r heart<br />

open <strong>and</strong> <strong>you</strong> <strong>get</strong> a tear in <strong>you</strong>r eye. It’s easier than <strong>you</strong> might think.<br />

The minute <strong>you</strong> <strong>get</strong> that feeling, address <strong>you</strong>r Source <strong>and</strong> say, “What would <strong>you</strong><br />

love me <strong>to</strong> fulfill? What’s my purpose here on Earth?” You can call this highest inner<br />

source <strong>of</strong> being whatever moves <strong>you</strong> most—the Source, God, or <strong>you</strong>r soul—but ask<br />

it what it wants <strong>you</strong> <strong>to</strong> do. I say, “Dear God, I ask that I may be worthy <strong>of</strong> receiving<br />

<strong>you</strong>r divine revelation, that I may be receptive <strong>to</strong> <strong>you</strong>r grace. I ask that my heart be<br />

opened <strong>and</strong> the outlines <strong>of</strong> my destiny be revealed, that I may be humbled <strong>to</strong> the<br />

truth <strong>you</strong> provide before me.”<br />

Thank <strong>you</strong>r Source in advance for its wisdom.<br />

If <strong>you</strong>’re truly grateful, the message will come at the speed <strong>of</strong> light, so <strong>get</strong> ready <strong>to</strong><br />

write it down. If it doesn’t come instantly, simply think more deeply about what<br />

<strong>you</strong>’re grateful for <strong>and</strong> ask again.<br />

Write all <strong>you</strong>r messages down, <strong>and</strong> ask <strong>you</strong>r Source for further instructions before<br />

<strong>you</strong> act: “Thank <strong>you</strong> for this insight. Can <strong>you</strong> give me more details? Is there a time<br />

when I am <strong>to</strong> do this?” Don’t be afraid <strong>to</strong> ask questions <strong>of</strong> <strong>you</strong>r Inner Guidance.<br />

Listening <strong>to</strong> <strong>and</strong> trusting <strong>you</strong>r inner voice is <strong>one</strong> <strong>of</strong> the greatest resources on Earth.<br />

It’s pure wisdom, <strong>and</strong> all the great leaders have mastered it. Geniuses are those who<br />

listen <strong>to</strong> their inner message, see their soul’s inner vision, <strong>and</strong> obey. The light <strong>of</strong> the<br />

soul is wisdom.<br />

ExERcISE 2<br />

When <strong>you</strong> have a glimpse <strong>of</strong> <strong>you</strong>r purpose, the next challenge is <strong>to</strong> manifest it. Every<br />

morning, write down the seven highest priority action steps <strong>you</strong> know <strong>you</strong> can take<br />

<strong>to</strong> help <strong>you</strong> fulfill <strong>you</strong>r dreams <strong>and</strong> purpose. Schedule <strong>you</strong>r day <strong>to</strong> give priority <strong>to</strong><br />

what’s most important <strong>to</strong> <strong>you</strong>. Do this every day for a month <strong>and</strong> <strong>you</strong>’ll begin <strong>to</strong> see<br />

a pattern.<br />

That pattern is the secret <strong>to</strong> becoming most effective <strong>and</strong> efficient at what <strong>you</strong>’d<br />

love <strong>to</strong> do. I did this for two years <strong>and</strong> found that there are four things I do most<br />

powerfully: research, write, travel, <strong>and</strong> speak. Now that’s basically all I do; everything<br />

else is delegated. When I do those four things, my dreams manifest.<br />

Once <strong>you</strong> find <strong>you</strong>r four highest priority actions <strong>and</strong> stick <strong>to</strong> them, the rest <strong>of</strong> <strong>you</strong>r<br />

life seems <strong>to</strong> fall in<strong>to</strong> place because <strong>you</strong> attract the resources <strong>to</strong> take care <strong>of</strong> all <strong>you</strong>r<br />

other values. People who focus on their <strong>to</strong>p priorities grow in self-worth, wealth, <strong>and</strong><br />

outreach, so discipline <strong>you</strong>rself <strong>and</strong> grow.<br />
