CURRICULUM HIGHLIGHTSThe curriculum at <strong>West</strong> <strong>Islip</strong> High <strong>School</strong> includes all academic areas, as well as art, business, music and technology.Beginning in Grade 7, a sequential honors program is offered in English, social studies, ma<strong>the</strong>matics, science and worldlanguages. Advanced placement courses are offered in English Language and Composition, English Literature andComposition, US History, European History, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, US Government and Politics, CalculusAB, Statistics, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics B and Physics C, Environmental Studies, Studio in Art, aswell as French, Italian and Spanish Languages. College courses in business, social studies and world languages are offeredby arrangement with Adelphi University, Long Island University and Syracuse University.FOREIGN LANGUAGEEXPLANATION OF COURSE CODESSPANISH H, ITALIAN H, FRENCH H - Designates a six-year honors sequence available to selected studentsbeginning in grade 7 and continuing through <strong>the</strong> AP level in grade 12.
