7General Information & Sale NotesLOCATION: The Sale will be held in the Borderway Mart, Carlisle Cumbria. Motoristsshould leave the M6 at Junction 43 and follow CARLISLE signs. The market is on the lefthand side of the road within 1/4 mile of M6.Timetable of Events:-Thursday 9th May arrival of Stock 11am to 6 pmFriday 10th May arrival of Stock 7 am to 9 aminspection of Stock9am to 12 noonJudging of all classes1 pmSaturday 11th May sale 10.00amHOTELS: There are many hotels within the area, ranging from four star to excellent Bedand Breakfast accommodation, a list of which may be found on page 4 of the catalogue.CONDITIONS OF SALE: The sale will be held subject to the Auction Rules and Conditions ofSale drawn up by the British Charolais Cattle Society (based on the National Cattle BreedersAssociation Warranties).The pedigree information is supplied by breeders to the Society and to their best knowledgeand belief, the information contained therein is true and correct. The Purchaser shall at hisexpense have the right to blood-type for proof of parentage his purchases and rescind thecontract if within two months from date of sale the parentage is found to be incorrect andthereafter no claim whatsoever shall lie against the Vendor in respect of such matters.INSURANCE: A representative of H & H Insurance Brokers Ltd, will be present at the saleand will be pleased to quote Purchasers for transit and other risks.METHOD OF SALE: All cattle will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogueorder, unless any alteration is announced by the Auctioneers.COMMISSIONS: The Auctioneers will dutifully execute commissions to purchase for buyersunable to attend the sale personally, upon receipt of written instructions.REGISTRATIONS: All stock in the Sale are registered with the British Charolais Cattle Society.TRANSFERS: Official Pedigree Transfer Certificates will be dealt with by the Auctioneersand the Breed Society as soon as possible after the Sale.Full Pedigrees will be transferred free of charge to all MEMBERS.SETTLEMENT AND CLEARANCE OF STOCK: Settlement in full is due immediately at theclose of Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official ‘Pass Slip’, obtainableonly from the Auctioneers upon settlement.ANIMAL WELFARE: Vendors and Purchasers should note the CODE OF PRACTICE publishedby the Livestock Auctioneers’ Market Committee for England and Wales IS OPERA-TIVE IN BORDERWAY MART and that weakly, unhealthy or injured stock will be refusedentry by the Auctioneers.
