This is a nurturing community, where our students and faculty genuinely know one another — thanks to family-style meals, senior chapel talks and century-old traditions. Our acceptance rate is 40%. Founded in 1900, we have alumni in all 50 states and about 35 countries around the world. We offer a rigorous college preparatory program. Many of our graduates are accepted to the most prestigious schools in the country. In fact, the majority of our recent graduates are attending colleges and universities Barron’s rates as “highly selective” and “most selective.” We teach 21st century skills (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity) in a traditional setting, where students are known and loved. Our 300-acre campus is located in an idyllic place. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, the campus is in the vibrant, safe city of Asheville, North Carolina.
