For the time being we would like to leave all the technology aside. Rather, let us
turn your attention to issues that are just as important for our cooperation.

Focused on the phase that is crucial
As in a triple jump, our robust starter based on the Korndorfer transition
principle achieves the complete motor start in a continuous three-step
process. The reliable compact starter is designed for low and medium
voltage usage. The entire power part consisting of autotrans and integrated
switching devices is accommodated in a common housing that is ready for use.
Our PLC co-ordinates the correct start sequence to reduce inrush current.
Customers merely have to provide cables for feeder, motor and control.

Focused on extremely impressive perFormance
Ultimate power with sufficient reserves tailor-made for your application.
The mega starter starts the biggest motors and drives utterly reliably and
safely. The switching devices are installed in an MV switchboard consisting
of 3 panels. The autotrans and housing are delivered separately and mounted
laterally behind the switchboard at the destination.
All connections between MS switchboard and transformer are prepared
in our factory and are easy to mount at the customer’s site. The customer
only has to provide cables for control and feeder as well as for the motor
connection.

pto / pth starter
Focused on perFormance that gets you
saFely to your destination
Chemical and oil tankers are often equipped with an auxiliary propulsion system. In case
of main diesel engine failure the vessel is able to carry on its journey with reduced speed
and to keep its manoeuvrability. An electrical reversible machine is installed at the main
gearbox, which is used during normal operation (PTO = Power Take Out) as a generator
and supplies the electrical system on board with power. If necessary the generator can
be used as a motor (PTH = Power Take Home) driving the main propeller. During PTH
operation the motor is provided with power from auxiliary generators.
The autotrans which is integrated in the PTO-PTH starter reduces the inrush current of
the reversible machine to rated current until the rated speed has been reached. An over-
load of the smaller auxiliary generators during start is avoided. The PLC of the PTO-PTH
starter coordinates not only the inrush current monitoring but also the interlocking of
all circuit breakers, the control of initial excitation, the main excitation and the release
of the coupling be tween reversible machine and propeller.

Focused on movement in perFect harmony
Our electronic variable frequency soft starters are versatile and powerful and
can be used for special process-related applications, e.g. to avoid torque peaks
or water hammer effects. For the first time ever the soft starter can increase
the breakaway torque of the motors during start-up through a controlled
frequency reduction.
The common draw-out chassis for power stacks with mains and bypass contactors
is unique in the world in terms of interchangeability and easy access and
maintenance. This draw-out chassis increases availability for our customers.
The starter can be installed as stand-alone or as part of a series with a common
bus bar system. It offers unrivalled functionality, security and variety while
using less space.
