The Tigers swept <strong>Lindsey</strong><strong>Wilson</strong> last season, winning 57-38 in Biggers Sports Center on Jan.21 and 66-61 in Campbellsville on Feb. 18. Prior to the two losses,<strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong> had beaten Campbellsville three straight times.Last Time Out<strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong> lost to visiting Pikeville <strong>College</strong> 82-78 as five Bearplayers scored in double figures on Saturday. The Blue Raidersstruggled to slow down the high-potent offense as Pikeville earneda split in the season series. Campbellsville held Georgetown to 37.3percent shooting from the field, but it wasn’t enough as CU fell 68-61 at Georgetown.Leader of the Pack<strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong> leads the Mid-South Conference in three statisticalcategories. The Blue Raiders lead the conference and is fifth in theNAIA in three-point field goal defense holding opponents to just28.3 percent shooting from deep. <strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong> also leads theconference and is 12th nationally in scoring defense (64.2) and topsin the MSC and 21st in the NAIA in free throw percentage (70.6).Recipe for Success<strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong>’s success under coach Paul Peck revolves aroundtwo numbers, 70 and 50. When the Blue Raiders score 70 pointsin Peck’s eight-plus years, <strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong> is 145-16. Additionally,the Blue Raiders are 77-8 under Peck when they shoot 50 percentor better from the field. This season, LWC is 11-1 when scoring 70points -- the lone loss last Saturday to Pikeville -- and 4-0 whenshooting 50 percent.Protecting the Ball<strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong> committed a season-low eight turnovers on Saturdayagainst Pikeville <strong>College</strong>. The last three games the Blue Raidersare averaging just 11.3 turnovers per game. For the season, <strong>Lindsey</strong><strong>Wilson</strong> is averaging 15.6 turnovers per contest.Shooting Woes in Losses<strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong> is shooting just 36.9 percent from the field in its sixlosses this season, including 24.8 percent from beyond the threepointarc. Head Coach Paul PeckCoach Paul Peck enters hisninth season as the <strong>Lindsey</strong> <strong>Wilson</strong><strong>College</strong> men’s basketball coach in2010-11. He has led the Blue Raidersto a 199-87 record since returning tothe program he once coached as ajunior college in the late 1970s.Peck is 435-286 overall enteringhis 23rd season as a head coach.He is 321-219 against senior collegecompetition during his head coachingcareer.The Blue Raiders have reachedthe NAIA National Tournament five ofthe eight years under Peck, includinga pair of Elite Eight appearances.Peck has guided the Blue Raidersto a pair of Mid-South ConferenceTournament titles and shared theprogram’s only MSC regular-seasoncrown in 2004-05.Peck is a three-time Mid-SouthConference Coach of the Year. Heshared the 2002-03 and 2003-04awards and was the lone MSC Coachof the Year in 2004-05.The Blue Raiders earned theprogram’s first-ever NAIA No. 1 rankingduring Peck’s tenure in the 2003-04 season after starting the season22-0.
