Source of that which created them. Yet, by the same law of physics, the wave must move, dissolve, back and into the ocean which created it. Similarly, the individualized ego must realignitself, identify itself, merge with the Source of itself: the immutable Soul which itself has beengenerated or created by the Ultimate Source - God. In the end, for most, this occurs at the timeof physical death of the body. The issue here is that when you look at the nature of evolutionary development, at some juncturefor all human Souls this point is arrived at. This admittedly is a long journey for most people.Would it not seem clear that if my consciousness and sense of identity is centered in the ocean Ican now simultaneously and consciously participate in my state of existence as a separate entity, yes, but whose consciousness is defined by and linked to that which has created us. So I have asimultaneous experience, don't I ? The deeper issue, for those who are concerned aboutemotional stability, is that if I am centered in the wave I can be buffeted this way and that by allthe crosscurrents called life. This can create periodic states of clarity, confusion, feeling good, depression and the rest of it. On the other hand, if I am centered with the Ocean I can not bedisturbed by anything, can I ? I in fact am calm. Centered in the Soul. So the point of view taken, the interpretation made, the reaction based because of, are entirely different than if in fact I amcentered in the ocean versus the wave. So the nature of personal evolution, in the last analysis,is based on this simple analogy. So this is what the nature of personal evolution is from life tolife; in that at some point we arrive in the center of that ocean. When we break this down to Mars and Pluto, you will have Pluto in a house somewhere, and itwill be in a sign, and you will have Mars somewhere, and it will be in a house and sign. My pointis that, again, these evolutionary desires are emanating from Pluto and become instinctivelyacted out through the Mars placement by house and sign. What this means is that if you look atwhere your Mars is - house, sign, and the potential aspects that it is making - this can nowactually be linked to the leading edge, in every single moment, of your evolutionary development. The desires you are acting out, what types of desires, and the kinds of experiences theygenerate, and what kinds of reaction occur in order for you to learn from them. Now let us makean example. Let's put Pluto in Virgo in the First House, and Mars in Taurus in the Tenth House. Iwould like some free flow here. I am tired of just being a lecturer, a completely boring role believeme. So if you have a core complex of desires symbolized by Pluto in Virgo with the First House, how are they going to be instinctively acted upon by way of Mars in Taurus in the Tenth House ?Who can make an analysis here ?Class: Workaholic, driven by money.Let's make a very simple analysis. Let us agree that typically First House Pluto peopleinstinctively feel that they have a special destiny to fulfill, something out of the ordinary, something other than just a mundane task. And let's say that this particular instinctual feeling isincredibly intense within their Soul which thus requires, at least cyclically, periods ofindependence and/or freedom in order to find out about this special destiny. This creates asubconscious fear - Pluto - of becoming overly involved with somebody else's need patterns, i.e.the polarity point of the Seventh House. The need patterns of another are perceived - Pluto - aspotential detours and/or weights that undermine this person's sense of special destiny. So youhave an in built emotional conflict right away between the need for independence andrelationship: an emotional paradox. Let's say we just isolate on the simple desire for a special

collective crisis is occurring that "larger forces" are operating that are beyond the control of theindividual or collective ego ? It is this sensing of larger forces - Pisces - that reflects theevolutionary need of Pluto in Virgo to identify with those forces in such a way that the individualor collective ego is in alignment with those forces. It is the Virgo/Pisces archetype that alsocorrelates to masochism for the reasons just mentioned. There are two types of masochism. Onetype can be called religious masochism, and the other type can be termed psychopathologicmasochism. In both types the core dynamic is to experience humiliation, self-sacrifice,annihilation, atonement, and the hoped for purification of the ego as a result of theseorientations. The ultimate symbol or religious masochism is Christ on the Cross. The ultimateform of psychopathologic masochism is reflected in extreme sado-masochistic sexual acts.Linking this to our example of Pluto in Virgo in the First House, and Mars in Taurus in the TenthHouse, we can now see where this sense of guilt/atonement is occurring for the individual. Wecan see where the experience of crisis and self-denial could occur. We can see where and how,and for what reasons, the necessary realignment of ego must occur. In essence we would havea person at birth who would have unconscious guilt patterns based upon a misuse ormisapplication of power and ambition linked with the Soul's desire for positions of social stature, and the means used to obtain these desired ends. Because there is a need to atone for this guiltcoming into this life the individual would typically undermine itself from achieving these ends inthis life until the necessary egocentric adjustments occurred.Class: The image that you are pointing out is that, in this case, Pluto has a generational effectwhich can be like the slow hand on the clock, and Mars is like the fast hand on the clock movingthrough the twelve different positions that are expressing the evolutionary impulse. Wouldn't thatbe a little bit general; that all people born in that large time frame who all have picked Pluto inVirgo to work out these same things ? Or could you be more specific about that ?To answer your question, it is true that all Pluto in Virgo people have this guilt, and asimultaneous need to atone for it. The reasons or causes of the guilt are specific to each person. As in this case that we are using as an example, with Mars in the Tenth House, it is a guilt basedon the misapplication of ambition via the desire for a special social role or work. This is my point. You can make it very specific by locating the planet Mars, in this case. Combined with Pluto inthe First House this also creates a guilt based on not meeting others needs, others needsperceived to be undermining their own sense of individual purpose. Thus, a person who hasplaced career and social position above the needs of those closest to them. And beyond this, there are twelve houses, yes, but also twelve signs, and many possible aspect combinations thatcould occur relative to both Pluto and Mars, i.e. Pluto in Virgo in the First House in opposition toVenus in Pisces in the Seventh House, or Mars in Taurus in the Tenth House inconjunct Jupiterin Sagittarius in the Fifth House, and so on. The various combinations/possibilities are almostendless. The point is by having these linkages through aspects you also have other dynamicsthat contribute to the very specific nature of the underlying archetype that wold be true for allpeople with Pluto in Virgo, or Pluto in any sign or house.Class: The point I would just like to make is that I don't view Virgo, or Pluto in Virgo, necessarilyas only a function of inferiority. It may be that those same individuals have come in, in fact, tobring an experience of the etheric Christ through Virgo which is another more positive experienceof that which then leads to their Mars function for them to externalize that in what field of activity

that they choose.First, I did not say that Virgo is ONLY a function of inferiority. Second, your understanding ofChrist may need to be examined. The fact is Jesus himself felt inferior: simply remember thewords he himself spoke while hanging on the Cross: " Father, take this cup from me". What dothese words suggest to you ? They suggest a man who was not perfect, despite Christianrevisionism to the contrary, a man who felt he was not totally equal to the task given to him bythe Father. I would also suggest that as a generation the majority of such people are notmanifesting the etheric Christ in a conscious, conceptual way. A very small percentage would bebased on their won evolutionary development. I would say in a more pragmatic, realistic, andpractical way that for the majority of the generation - because as we project into the future thisgeneration will be in positions of social power maybe twenty years from now - this group ofpeople will have a major role in the proper use of all kinds of technology in order to purify itsapplication. They will also have an incredibly important role in health technologies, and medicinebecause the nature of the Earth upon which we live will become progressively morecontaminated including the mutation of viruses and bacterias in which three or four will becomelife threatening to the species once they mutate and become airborne. In a de facto sense thismight be the etheric Christ, but I would doubt that the majority would be conceptualizingthemselves, at an egocentric level, in this way. And what about the millions of Souls who havePluto in Virgo who live in other cultures that have no connection to Christianity, or Christ ? Youmay wish to reexamine your question/statement, yes ?Another way of looking at this, using our own example of Pluto in Virgo, is that at the time thatChrist was on the planet, whatever birth chart you might agree or disagree with, all charts willhave Pluto in Virgo for him. Now he himself said that he was here to usher in a new age which iscalled the Piscean Age. So you see the polarity point for this generation, including himself as anindividual within the generation, as Pisces. Is this coincidence or synchronicity ? Or take thePluto in Leo generation. Most of us would agree that somehow we are moving toward theAquarian Age, or have already just moved into it. Progressively, the Pluto in Leo generation isgoing to have positions of social power as we already begin to see in our time. The polarity pointfor the generation is Aquarius. So, sure, we have this generational application, but we also haveeach person as an individual living in that generation: generations are comprised of individuals. Each individual has their individual framework within that generation in order to, as an individual, develop, to cooperate with and/or resist their own evolutionary requirements. My point is that ifevery individual in their generation simply cooperated with their own individual lessons, then thatgeneration would be in a state of harmony, and the evolutionary requirements of the planetwould operate in a uniform way versus cataclysmic ways. but I think most of us would agree thatmost individuals do not consciously cooperate in total with their evolutionary requirements. Thefact is that most people react to their evolutionary requirements in a very minimal way. We do alittle bit each time. If you read metaphysics, this is why the story of incarnation seems to be sotragically long, i.e., the typical statement that we incarnate millions of times. This is becausemost of us do a little bit each time versus the whole ball of wax, so to speak.Coming back to this example, can you now see through the illustration how this mechanismworks ? Pluto/Virgo/First House and how it was manifested through the Mars in Taurus in theTenth House ? Do you see this linkage ? Was it clear to you ? My point is that you can take thismethod and apply it to any chart. All of you are going to have Pluto in a house and sign

somewhere, and it is going to have a generational and individual application. And you are goingto have Mars somewhere; by house, sign, and aspects to other planets and the signs andhouses that they are in. This is the leading edge of your own individual evolution on a day today,li minute to minute basis. How you by the way of Mars instinctively act out the evolutionarydesires and requirements emanating from your Soul. The natal signature and requirementsoperate throughout life. The transiting movements of Mars, progressed planets forming aspectsto natal Mars, Mars through progression forming aspects to other planets, and Pluto's movementthrough transits, and other planets forming aspects to Pluto through transits or progressions allcorrelate to the evolutionary development and requirements through Time in this life. Thesedevelopments through time are referred to, and understood in the context of the intent reflectedin the natal signature of Mars and Pluto. Thanks for coming this early in the morning, and GodBless.
