We have tested the plates under extreme conditions; full load under full stall with the 

oil drained from the clutch housing. This drove outside case temperatures in excess 

of 580 degrees F! Smoke pouring from all available orifices, the system still worked. 

After a short cool-down the kart drove away with clutch functioning normally. Check

WHY SHOULD I PRESSURE BLEED? 

The typical method of pumping the brake pedal while a helper opens and closes the bleeder valve can actually damage your 

master cylinder. By pushing the pedal past the normal travel distance, the master 

cylinder seals on the piston can be ripped or gouged by rusted or worn areas in the 

master cylinder bore. 

Pressure bleeding provides a safe and effective way to remove trapped air and other 

contaminants from the hydraulic brake system. Most manufactures recommend purging 

hydraulic brakes annually. The POWER BLEEDER is easy to pressurize and holds enough 

fluid for a complete system flush. 

HOW DOES THE POWER BLEEDER WORK?

The POWER BLEEDER works just like professional pressure bleeders. A tank containing 

hydraulic fluid is attached to the hydraulic system via a special adapter; the tank is 

then pressurized with a few pumps. When one of the bleed valves is opened, old or 

contaminated fluid is expelled as new fluid from the pressure tank is added.

Rubber rings have solved what was the 

chain-maker's biggest headache for 

many years: loss of lubricant. The loadbearing 

pins and bushings that enable 

a chain to bend over a sprocket have 

very little precious oil to keep them 

functioning properly. As if that wasn't 

enough, high centrifugal forces that 

occur when the chain turns around 

the drive sprocket throws away the 

oil. The only reason for chain wear is 

loss of lubricant. The advent of the 

X-ring chain enabled the chain to keep 

its oil inside and stay lubricated were 

it counts for long periods, which in 

return, extends chain life significantly.

WHAT IS THE COMMAND CONSOLE? 

The Command Console is a state-of-the-art timing & 

message-delivery system with integrated kartrol housing 

that allows your attendants to maximize your returns while 

making the ride safe. 

WHAT DOES THE COMMAND CONSOLE DO? 

The Command Console allows your attendant to operate 

and control the ride from one central location. The console 

is an event-timing system that controls ride time and up to 

5 *traffic lights. Has audio & video playback capability** for 

your pit area message, includes a PA amp with a hand-held 

microphone, and features an integrated Kartrol enclosure. 

Console shown with optional Kartrol EXE 

transmitter installed. Sold separately. 

Your track attendant starts each session by pressing the 

green “go” button. The traffic-control circuit changes the 

traffic lights to green and accurately times the ride to a 

preset time. 

If you need to slow the ride, the attendant simply presses the yellow button. The traffic lights* go to yellow. Kartrol*** 

equipped consoles also benefit from a second set of buttons that allow the attendant to control the go karts. Pressing the 

yellow button on these consoles slows the go karts to “crawl” speed, and pressing the red button allows for a complete stop of 

the ride. 

When the ride is coming to an end, the system sends a signal to the traffic lights* to flash the yellow lights, and it emits an 

audible tone at the speakers** to alert the attendants and riders to prepare for the end of ride. After a few moments, the 

traffic lights will flash red until the next session is started. 

If no ride is started for a designated time, the console goes into “sleep mode”, and shuts down the traffic lights to save energy. 

During the pre-ride, the console can play an audio or video** safety briefing for your customers. This message can be set to 

toggle or loop constantly. The console comes equipped with a generic audio message and with a professionally produced 

safety video: just hook up a few video monitors. 

THE COMMAND CONSOLE IS MADE TO BE OUTDOORS YEAR-ROUND WITH ITS HEAVY DUTY ENCLOSURE.

Kartrol is a solid-state, electronic engine speed limiter used on go kart motors to 

reduce the engine RPM by remote control. This gives the track operator more control 

over the track operation, enabling him to reduce the speed of an individual kart, a 

group of karts, or all the karts at will. 

As an optional part of the system, a device can be mounted near the pit entrance that, 

when activated, will reduce RPM of every kart that passes by it, without affecting karts 

elsewhere on the track. This greatly improves safety in the pit area.

SUPER TUBE TECHNOLOGY FOR YOUR BUMPER CAR. That’s right, we’ve listened to your repeated requests to introduce 

a tough replacement tube for bumper cars. Hey, we don’t make bumper cars but we make the best bumper boat tube in the 

industry and applied that knowledge in the design of this tube. 

We’ve been busy testing prototypes since January 2015 and are nearing the debut of the final product. Come see the unveiling 

at IAAPA 2015 in Orlando, Florida.

J&J Amusements began as nothing more than something fun between twin brothers in 1957 who decided to open the first 

miniature golf center in Utah. 

Their love of amusements moved them to begin building some of the first fun centers and amusement parks throughout 

southern and central California. They would build rides and try things, all with the goal of providing more fun to those who 

visited their centers. 

When they invented the bumper boat in 1975, they were in love. They patented the bumper boat in the US and became US 

Coast Guard Certified. In 1990 J&J brought on new partners and began manufacturing concession go karts. And just like the 

bumper boat, J&J’s line of innovative and durable go karts took off. 

In 1993, the company was moved from southern California to Salem, Oregon. 

Today, J&J Amusements’ family of go kart and bumper boat attractions allows us to meet the evolving needs of the amusement 

industry with our safe and durable amusement products. We are 100% owned by employees – most of whom have been with 

the company 10+ years – who provide master planning, custom design, manufacturing and theming for complete amusement
