Pioneers ofcontemporary dance, choreography and education in Ireland for almost twenty years, <strong>Daghdha</strong> Dance Companychallenges existing practice with bold thinking and courageous actions. Based in a beautiful new home inLimerick’s city centre <strong>Daghdha</strong> Dance Company is a company of international renown.<strong>Daghdha</strong> Dance Company proposes a new model of a cultural institution linking artistic production and enquiryto social relevance. <strong>Daghdha</strong> Dance Company is a catalyst as well as a laboratory for change, whether theoutput is dance, choreography, performances, festivals, workshops, seminars or experimental formats. In <strong>2006</strong><strong>Daghdha</strong> Dance Company launches a comprehensive cultural programme, presenting a number of activities<strong>Daghdha</strong> Dance Company has initiated over the past years as well as presenting new formats, events andcollaborations. Choreography and dance will feature in many disguises from distilled forms of Michael Klien’sdance works (such as Sediments of an Ordinary Mind or Once Beneath the Skin) to open formats such asMamuska Nights and Gravity and Grace.“With choreographic practice at the very core of the enquiry into life, <strong>Daghdha</strong> Dance Company sets out toexplore dynamics and processes of a deeply interconnected world. Choreography is proposed and developedas a ‘pattern-language’ dealing with relations, their dynamics and consequences, exploring change within thefluidity of life.
