Dear Awesome Members of Division 15B,
I truly feel blessed every day by being able to be
Division 15B’s Lieutenant Governor. I am amazed
by the dedication, hard work, and planning for Key
Club that is going into place.
This month I had my first Divisional Council Meeting,
and I feel our division is off to a great start. I would
also like to give a huge shout-out to every secretary
because there was 100% Pride Report submissions.
Keep up the great work, and be servant leaders by
continuing service into summer months.
Yours in Service,
Hannah Rosenbaum
Lieutenant Governor of Division 15B for the Florida
District of Key Club International
OIF
YOF/FLOF
Officer Information Forms are a
crucial aspect in knowing what is
going on in the division, and they
enable me to contact officers and
relay important, including newsletters,
service project ideas, and Divisional
Council Meeting (DCM)
dates. If at any point in the year an
officer has a changed number or
email, the secretary can update
the OIF in order to have the most
accurate information. If you have
questions, feel free to contact me
at divsion15b@floridakeyclub.org.
Remember that both FLOF
and YOF grants can help fund
service projects from anywhere
from $100-$1000. This
can really help a project soar
to new heights. The YOF application
is due October 1st for
fall projects; the FLOF deadline
for fall projects is October
15th.http://www.keyclub.org/
Summer Service
Summer is a great time to get ahead, do service projects,
and host occasional summer board meetings. This is where
preparation for the 2015-2016 school year can be made—as
well as impactful service. It is a great time for helping out at
the Boys and Girls Club, NU-Hope, and DCON fundraisers,
getting involved with Meals on Wheels and doing Key Goes
Green Projects. Examples of Key Goes Green Projects are
community gardens, cleaning up evasive plants at state
parks, and many pickups. For more suggestions for projects
go to the Sunshine Source tab for the June-July edition.
http://floridakeyclub.org/sunshine-source/
OPR
Pride reports, which are to be filled out by
the club secretary, show what the club is
doing regarding service hours, fundraisers,
and meetings. This is a very important job.
The May Pride Report is due June 10th, and
the Summer Pride Report is due September
10th. If all Pride Reports are done on time,
then that Secretary can be recognized as a
Distinguished Secretary at DCON. Also, if assistance
is needed, go under the resources
tab floridakeyclub.org/resources. Go to the
Club Secretaries heading, and click on the
OPR Contents Link.
The Eliminate Project
The Eliminate Project helps combat the horrors of maternal and
neonatal tetanus. This project helps save lives of both mothers and
their unborn children—and simply by donating a $1.80, a life is
saved. Service projects are a great way to help fundraise for the
Eliminate Project. Examples include Trick or Treat for Unicef, Walk-a-
Thons, Dance-a-Thons, and collection jars. For more information,
go to the Eliminate Project’s tab on the Florida Key Club website.
DCM Recap
On May 9th my first Divisional
Council Meeting (DCM) was
held, and we talked about service
projects, goals for the year,
and did installation for new officers.
Key Clubbers from Avon Park,
Lake Placid , Sebring, and Hardee
Senior High attended. What a
great way to start off the year!
