Arrival is expected late this month. This wascoordinated by Mary Fox of the Haiti Committee.NEW MEDICAL CLINIC COMPLETEDIn December, Dr. Mire and six others from <strong>Sacred</strong><strong>Heart</strong> traveled to the remote village of Bouly. Bouly ispart of the Saint Michel Parish and is a grueling 8 hourhike up the mountain from Boucan Carre. There theyworked on construction of a new medical clinic andtreated about 250 patients. Funding for the new clinicwas arranged for by <strong>Sacred</strong> <strong>Heart</strong>’s Billy Stair.SAINT MICHELLE COLLEGEDeacon Ben Johnston traveled to Haiti this month forthe dedication of the new secondary school inBoucan Carre. This project was largely funded by theXinergy Corporation of Knoxville and will be staffedand maintained by the Haiti Outreach Program.NEW FINANCE COMMITTEEAs part of <strong>Sacred</strong> <strong>Heart</strong>’s Haiti Committee, a newFinance Committee has been formed to dealwith increased challenges. Budget adjustments inour various projects will have to be made.
