Farce is the placing of ordinary people insituations in which their world has gone out of control. In this sense, farce is closer to tragedy than to what wenormally call comedy. When you watchthe great silent film comics you can see how easilythose same situations that have you rolling in theaisle could also be very poignant. Farceenables us to laugh at our own nightmares. In doingNoises Off we proudly present some of our profession’sgreatest nightmares.– Richard SeydDirector!0+ !"#$%#&'()"*+ &','-.("+
