feed industry as a whole. alltech works with the largest feed manufacturers in the world and provides them with nutritional technologies that not only add value
financially, but are natural and friendly to the animal, the Consumer, and the environment.
the company also has a growing consumer division that capitalizes on the company’s passionate commitment to
new product development at alltech is the result of synergy between the
company’s primacy in science and its understanding of customers’ needs and
expectations. the alltech brand rests on two fundamentals: excellence in
innovation and quality assurance.
at alltech, we foster innovation by nurturing talent at all stages. our commitment
begins with inspiring scientific and agricultural studies at the primary school
level through the construction of science laboratories in schools and alltech’s
Kidzone program, an online resource teachers can use to introduce students
to agriculture and its fundamental role in sustaining life. at the collegiate
level, the annual alltech young scientist award competition receives more
than 8000 entries worldwide for its research rewards. to date, more than 110
throughout the feed industry as a standard to follow. the aQs delivers the exact
same level of quality assurance and traceability in each of alltech’s geographical
markets, based on a uniform process designed to meet and exceed other thirdparty
systems of certification.
2011 was a landmark year for alltech in terms of growth and expansion. In
early 2011, alltech cut the ribbon on its $200 million alltech algae plant in
Kentucky, usa. a highly automated fermentation facility, the plant is one of the
largest algae production sites in the world. It represents a new technological
frontier for alltech that will generate incredible opportunities in terms of food,
feed and fuel.
Building on alltech’s expertise in animal health, the company created a new life
sciences division in 2011 to apply our proven natural technologies to human
health challenges. Initial trials on the first technology are already underway.
to better serve local customers, alltech opened new offices in Iowa and mexico
and is in the process of making strategic expansions to its office in California
and its operations in the asia-Pacific region, a market that accounts for 35% of
the world’s feed production. Dr. mark lyons recently relocated to China as part
of the company’s focus on the region.
In December 2011, alltech officially acquired us Feeds, Inc. in Iowa, usa. this
strategic partnership development will enable alltech to provide customers with
personalized solutions and local support.
Involvement
alltech believes in giving back to the communities in which we work. With this
in mind, we established alltech’s aCe Involvement Foundation, a charitable
foundation to help fund the philanthropic efforts of the company, its employees
