1. Charperson’s report<br />
Tina kindly offered to chair the meeting in the absence of a new Chair. We<br />
are still looking for a willing volunteer to be PTA Chair.<br />
2. Research from Last Meeting<br />
Tina found out that the cost of a hall let outwith core hours is £70 per hour.<br />
There was no information on the ‘Children in Need’ website to indicate that<br />
piggybacking on a fundraising event for Children in Need is not permitted.<br />
3. PTA Events<br />
Many of last year’s stalwarts of the committee resigned at the beginning of this<br />
session and we do not have a Chair to coordinate fundraising events. It was<br />
felt therefore that it would be wise to scale down the number of events this<br />
year. This would mean that there would be no Winter Fair. We would still<br />
make ourselves available to help in December with Christmas Hampers on<br />
Friday 12th December. We would also be available to help at events which<br />
require catering.<br />
It was felt that we could still have the quiz night in April (provisional date 18 th<br />
April). Our main fund raising event would be a Grand Raffle in the spring<br />
term. If this was able to coincide with a school anniversary or a memorial date<br />
this would be ideal (any ideas?).<br />
4. Actions Before Next Meeting<br />
Source Grand Raffle prizes from friends, relatives and work contacts<br />
(Committee).<br />
Investigate Match Funding from local businesses or business contacts<br />
(Committee).<br />
Find out whether or not school is having a Spring Fling (Avril Henney).<br />
Book staffroom for next meeting and let Mandy know that it is available (Avril<br />
Henney).<br />
Find out timings of school mailshots (Avril Henney).<br />
Remove committee email addresses from school website and update<br />
information (Angela).<br />
Update email lists for circulating to committee (Mandy).<br />

Let all people who signed up at the end of last term to join PTA know the date<br />
of the next meeting (there may be a Chair among them!) (Mandy).<br />
Hand over list of raffle prize donors from last raffle to Mandy (Allison).<br />
Explain system used at last raffle for distributing and collecting raffle tickets<br />
(Allison).<br />
Confirm date for quiz – 18 th April (Tina).<br />
Apply for a new raffle license – promoter Avril Gall (Tina).<br />
Get list of raffle donors to D. Mains Gala from Yvonne (Tina).<br />
Check helpers available for tea/coffee at RHS open afternoon and check<br />
stocks in cupboard (Tina).<br />
Retrieve banking information, cheque book, cash-and-carry card from Fiona<br />
Christie (Avril Gall and Lynne).<br />
Retrieve 200 Club information from Alastair (Avril Gall and Lynne).<br />
Investigate mandate forms for 200 Club (Avril Gall).<br />
Next Meeting Wednesday 12 th November at 7.30 p.m.<br />
