NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rulesof the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain &Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible.Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS membersand non‐members, but only ponies owned by adult NPS members are eligible to qualify forthe final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship in Malvern on the 3rd‐5thAugust 2011.The highest placed pony owned by an NPS member in each class will qualify for the Final.Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line which is owned by anNPS member and has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may gono lower than 3 rd place. Judges and/or stewards are requested to check membership cardsprior to presenting the qualifying rosettes. NPS Adult/Standard members will be requiredto upgrade to Full Members to enter the Final.The NPS/Ringside Stud M&M Open Ridden National Summer ChampionshipNPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship – wear white arm bands.Open to registered pure bred Mountain and Moorland stallions, mares and geldings fouryears old or over.The NPS/<strong>Horse</strong>quest.co.uk Ridden Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony<strong>Society</strong> for the best registered pony in the M&M Open Ridden Section. To be judged underthe Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the Owner of thechampion pony is a Member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in theRider’s/Handler’s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on requestby either the judge or the steward. If the Owner of the Champion pony is not a Member, orthe Owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awardedto the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If theChampion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette butthe Qualification Card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the Owner of thatpony is a Member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the Qualification Card can beawarded no lower than first Reserve. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of theSilver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 3‐5August 2011.This show is affiliated to the Ponies Association UK (Aff. No. 011/SUM/6325). This Show isa qualifier for the Ponies (UK) 2011 Summer Championship Show, to be held on the 10‐13August 2011 at Newark & Notts Showground. The 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd placed horses in classes35 and 36 will qualify.The Kingsford Mountain & Moorland Ridden Pony of the Year. Open to Mountain &Moorland ponies, registered with their respective Pure Breed Societies of Connemara,Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fells, Highlands, New Forest, Shetlands and Welsh Sections A, B,C and D. If not already qualified, 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd placed horses will qualify for the 2011Ponies (UK) Summer National Championships. Qualification cards will not be presented inthe ring. Competitors in qualifying positions, who are NOT current members of Ponies (UK)are allowed 14 days in which to become Members and register their horses in order for thequalification to remain valid.Class 35 – This is a qualifying class for the “National Brynseion Stud Ridden Section AChampionship”, to be held at the National Welsh Championship Show on the 14th August2011 at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.
