Thus, librarypersonnel with Grade S41 to Grade S54 will be included in the sampling <strong>of</strong> thisstudy (Skim Perkhidmatan Pustakawan, 2006). A sampling frame will be obtainedfrom the libraries’ web page. Since the size <strong>of</strong> population differs from one libraryto another, proportionate stratified random sampling will be used to ensure aproportional representation <strong>of</strong> every organisation.<strong>The</strong> hypothesis will be tested using multiple regression analysis as it will involvemultivariate analysis (Hair, Anderson, Tatham, & Black, 1998; Punch, 2005).Specifically, stepwise regression approach will be utilised. By utilising multipleregressions analysis, the overall predictive power <strong>of</strong> the independent variables canbe maximised. In addition, the predictive power <strong>of</strong> each independent variable tothe variate can be ascertained. Ungku Norulkamar • <strong>Impact</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Technostress</strong>ConclusionPrevious findings have shown that among the major causes <strong>of</strong> workplace stress intoday’s environment is the introduction and implementation <strong>of</strong> technology. Sinceworkplace stress has normally resulted in negative consequences to individualsand organisations, an investigation on the influence <strong>of</strong> technostress onorganisational commitment is fundamental. Among those who have been heavilyaffected by technostress are librarians. Thus, this paper proposes a study on theimpact <strong>of</strong> technotress on organisational commitment among librarians working inthe libraries <strong>of</strong> Malaysian public higher learning institutions. <strong>The</strong> findings <strong>of</strong> thisstudy will generate new knowledge and provide fresh insights that may be fruitfulto organisations in dealing with the problem <strong>of</strong> technostress. Knowing howtechnostress affect librarians will enable public higher learning institutionslibraries to plan appropriate mechanisms in managing stress due to technologyand maintain a high level <strong>of</strong> organisational commitment among the librarians.ReferencesAllen, N.
