Spec: <strong>First</strong> <strong>27.7</strong> <strong>Ellen</strong> <strong>Ellen</strong> <strong>was</strong> <strong>acquired</strong> <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Beneteau</strong> shipyard in France in winter 2007. The original equipment <strong>was</strong> limited and we <strong>the</strong>refore undertook extensive additions during spring 2007, including a custom sail inventory by Quantum made up by Fusion-­‐M jib and main sail and additional spinnakers, an integrated Raymarine Gyro-­‐Autopilot and a Garmin touchscreen plotter in <strong>the</strong> cockpit, a heater, and shore power installations make <strong>the</strong> boat perfectly suited for short handed and family sailing in Nordic waters. Yacht systems, such as <strong>the</strong> lanterns have been replaced to Lopolight LED mas<strong>the</strong>ad tricolor, interior lighting is LED. The yacht has been fitted with solar power charging and <strong>the</strong> electrical charging system has been refitted to accommodate more electric charge for visiting remote archipelago islands for several days or running an autopilot for extensive periods of time. In 2010, new seatbacks where made and upholstery ordered for <strong>the</strong> main cabin. <strong>Ellen</strong> has sailed appr 6000 nm, singlehandedly and family cruises. She offers a unique possibility to combine safe cruising with amazing speed, top speed at 16+ knots! Thanks to <strong>the</strong> advantageous design and excellent sail equipment. She has proved to be a yacht that can easily be handled by one skipper alone, but also fit to host a family crew with varying ambitions.
