Our old 0, 6 cow family would be in 95% of our pedigrees.His mother stayed in the herd for 16 yrs, grandmother 0 for 20 yrs and great grandmother 6 for 22 yrs. On the sire side, our 21X bull has proven to be one ofthe best calving ease bulls I’ve ever seen and he traces to our old 779 cow family. The 779 cow stayed in production for 15 yrs. Great calving ease on the 76Ebull and, like in most of DDA cattle, great temperament. We’ll never have a huge amount of influence from this bull because he froze his testicles in a cold,northern Montana wind.
